Well the cases they showed were bigger than the 360 (but not by much) and you could probably add (if you have it lying down) another inch from left to right and half an inch in height. I don' t think it' ll increase from front to back. They' re facing a cooling issue too, just like 360 did. 360 was supposed to have a nice big fan to keep everything cool, but instead because they wanted to keep the size down they had to put two smaller fans in which don' t work quite as well as the big one would have. If PS3 does mores stuff and has more in it, then it' s going to get hotter and thus will requires a bigger fan. What gets me though is that many Japanese said they didn' t like the original Xbox because of its size. They said it was too bulky. Sony' s unit looks very nice but one or two people will probably be a bit shocked when they see the final thing. Revolution' s SMALL!!!!!!! Sony are masters at minimizing their tech though. Look at PSone and two. The less components amd plastic they have to use, the lower the production costs and thus the lower the price. Expect a PSthree within a couple of years, ...thay' ll want to drive down production costs as quickly as possible. It' s still gonna be badass though. You could probably kill someone with it if you dropped it on their head!

Now, that' s just the kind of comments most of us hoped we wouldn' t see for a while but it seems it' s hopeless.

Does that actually translate to.. ' All i can say is that in my opinion, if the PS3' s final shell turns out to be larger than the 360' s then i' ll laugh my head off' ??!! (is that possible? to laugh your head OFF?) Since the case shown at E3 last year was already larger than 360' s, that' s pretty much a given. EDIT:

What if they divide the PS3 into different parts that are linked by cables? That way you could spread your PS3 across the room and make it look like you have lots of slim consoles.

If you want all serious comments, then read articles only. It' s supposed to be fun in a forum.

That was aimed at VX right?! Quit bickering at look at the dimensions... The PS3 there is a representation of the case shown last year and at CES this year. It will be bigger than that.

WELL spotted! It' s likely bogus but imagine having access to Master System, Mega Drive, Saturn and possibly Dreamcast games as well as the Nintendo ones...

Good article, finally some clarity comin out of the Sony fog and hype - I can still remember the Emotion Engine being touted from the rooftops - hehehe, sounded like religious extremism, that did..... Anyhoo, as I said, good article but it smacked a bit of trying too hard not to show any disappointment - Sony showed that Killzone trailer a year ago and haven' t had the guts to come out and say they were talkin a load of kerrappp!, and now we' re seeing a little reality seep out.... The next week should see a bit of tit for tat as the Taipei show reveals a little bit more about the lay of the land - wait for Microsoft to engage in a little chest-thumpin.....

I think they will seriously evolve Xbox LIve - they said it before that they have incredible plans for Live in the future so maybe that time is coming. Maybe some new exclusive titles? Hmm I wonder if any big announcements will apear before E3 ( I think they did all anouncements they could, to hype 360' s " launch window" )

Nah Gangsta, Sony is making announcements at DevStation in a months time and Nintendo are likely to announce stuff at GDC (Iwata is making some kind of announcement and talking about their strategy, ...and hopefully Revolution). Microsoft will definately come up with something. the rumors that they were holding off anymore backwards compatibility updates until March seem to be true, and i expect it' ll be part of a bigger update for Xbox Live. Nobody seems to know when SF2 will be available and their are things floating around about another 20 or so Live Arcade games... That and they still announce the TiVo-esque, music and movie download services at some point. E3 would be a good time for that i guess, ...the Sky+/TiVo, the music/movie download shit and the announcement/release of a larger HDD (as well as the camera) would be ideal for E3. I also want Microsoft to sort the XP connectivity out like they said they would, because the whole media centre PC thing is stupid! They need to sort it out so that 360' s drive shows up as removable storage media and make it play XviD and DivX video!!! As for exclusive titles. Things have been terribly quite on that front for a while. There were talks surrounding VF5 (and other titles) in late Dec early Jan but we haven' t heard anything since. If Sony had gotten it as an exclusive i would have expected them to have already announced so as a move against 360 sales. Microsoft on the other hand could have gotten it and just be keeping it close to its chest, waiting for the opportune moment. Next month should be a fairly big month for 360 anyway with the release of several BIG games. I can' t wait!!!
