Just saw 1408. I really liked it, but the end was disappointing. At little too happy for my taste. Overall it' s definitely worth viewing. Great performances from both Cusak and Jackson. I was really impressed with the sound design, too. Stuff like that almost never gets the recognition it deserves.

Watched The number 23 and Letters from Iwo Jima while flying last week. Both interesting in their own way, but not the greatest films ever.

I saw Bebel and The Wicker Man (wasn' t my choice in movies). Bebel is pure trash, don' t waste your time with it. This movie is a perfect example of why movies need a plot. In theory this is a great movie, the idea of watching several seemingly exclusive perspectives (people) and seeing how they affect eachother directely could have been new and refreshing. However the execution is weak. The script looks like it was written by a 12 year old. It has so many loose ends that leads nowhere, infact that pretty much sums up the entire movie. The Wicker Man with Nicolas Cage wasn' t that great either but was vastly more entertaining than Bebel. I don' t want to spoil the movie incase anyone wants to see it but I have to say that this is not a " feel good movie" , and it does not have a happy ending. The movie is weird, a lot of fucked up shit happens the whole movie and a lot of it is not explained at all even after seeing the ending which is the reason to watch this movie. If you decide to watch it, keep watching it to the end.

Die Hard 4. Just a cape and mask short of being a superhero flick. Over the top action so absurd (especially at the end) that you just love the hell out of the movie. Stallone is still capable. Willis is kickn ass. Now lets see if Ford can carry his old ass around as well. You' d think we would truly hate all these revival films but so far I' m loving them. Also watch the Reno 911 movie. Funny as hell.

The Transformers... The storyline sucked even more than I thought it would, and the action sequences were as good as I thought they would be.. Overall, a good movie that I *probably* won' t bother seeing again.

ORIGINAL: Agent Ghost I saw Bebel and The Wicker Man (wasn' t my choice in movies). Have you seen the original Ghost? I watched Clerks 2, and it was much better than I thought it would have been. Pissed off that I missed it at the cinema now. The " trilogy" arguement was hilarious. Edit: No one has mentioned FF: Rise of the Surfer. Doom was awesome, Surfer was awesome and then they ruined everything with Galactus and the lamest ending possible. I wonder if that' s why noone mentioned it.

Have you seen the original Ghost? No, I' m assuming you mean the original to The Wicker Man, either way I haven' t seen it. I saw The Transformers Tuesday night, and it was probably the best licensed movie I' ve ever seen. I give it 9/10. Go see it! Transformers is not an easy movie to make, there are so many ways to screw it up. IMO the makers of the movie avoided all the traps. It' s just a great movie, I can' t imagine fans being dissapointed. Was the story stupid, of course it was, it' s a fucking Transformers movie! However everything that needed to be exceptional was just that. For everything I didn' t like about the movie, there were a hundred things I did like. I have a few minor complaints that hardly ruin the experience but are holding it back from being perfect in my eyes. Firstly, there is too much emphasis on the humans. The movie basically takes the point of view from the humans which just seems wrong. At the same time I can understand that being necessary given that this is a hollywood movie. That being said, I don' t feel like the Transformers weren' t given enough time on screen, well maybe the Deceptacons were neglected a bit as they were pretty much only around for the action. Secondly, if I can be allowed to nitpick the on the action a bit, my complaint would be that there are too many times where the camera is zoomed too close to the action. I think that' s my pet peeve when watching action scenes. I hate when the camera goes too close. It' s akin to porno movie when the camera zooms in right up someone' s asshole. Dammit man, I just wanted to see some titties bounce, I don' t want to see her large intestines. But I' m digressing, fortunately this doesn' t happen too often. It usually only happens when one of the Tranformers is making a fast movement like rolling on the street. There isn' t much else I can say without giving away any spoilers. You don' t even need to read my opinion on the movie, all you need to know is that it' s well worth the time and admission price. Infact I intend to go see it again this weekend.

I am really debating on what movie to see this weekend or soon. I am torn between The Transformers and Live Free or Die Hard. So I guess it will depend on who I go to see it with. Oh yeah and am I the only one that is looking forward to the next HP movie?

ORIGINAL: Agent Ghost Secondly, if I can be allowed to nitpick the on the action a bit, my complaint would be that there are too many times where the camera is zoomed too close to the action. I noticed that too. It doesn' t ruin the action, but it makes it hard as hell to follow sometimes. There' s a lot of times when the screen is so full of metal and motion I wasn' t 100% sure what i was looking at. That said, this movie seriously kicks ass when it comes to action scenes. My personal fav was Starscream vs the airforce. He makes it VERY clear why he' s second in only to Megatron.
