Yes, it may happen, but we just have to wait and see. You' re talking about a poll at 1 website. While it does give us some indication of where hardcore gamers stand (I' m sure the numbers would look similar here) it' s really not an indication of the overall market. Hell, it could be even WORSE, but I' d just like to wait and see. Thanks for the info, though. It does give you something interesting to think about.

It' s not just one poll - in famitsu japanese predicted that wii will have 70% market share PS3 20% and 360 the rest - and that' s japan.Wii could actually help MS a lot cause if PS3 won' t win in Japan , it won' t win at all - in Europe and US it won' t outsell 360 that easy.

I think we can all agree on that ps3 will not lead or win with any nearly diffrence as with ps1 and ps2. Gonna be a dirty fight this gen O_O

Although I love the fact that the wii is leading in all the polls it' s always down to reality and actual figures and for some reason I am really looking forward to when all the consoles are out there I would like to see a close race (a little). I think the wii will sell well when it' s released more in japan that europe and ok in the us. The ps3 might sell similarly to the 360 on launch in japan (or more) not well in europe and same in the us. Then later maybe March 2007 360 might see a price drop making it more attractive at the same time seeing some good titles coming from nintendo and sony maybe releasing a movie list of blu-ray compatible movies (like the umd). Or I could be entirely wrong.

The DS wipes the floor with the PSP. The expensive and mediapacked PSX was never popular. The 360 has gained lots of 3rd party developer support. Sony has no money anymore. Microsoft actually made a good console this time. Nintendo has gotten worldwide recognition for their Wii. Everything is pointing to big change in the battle of becoming market leader. Sony will probably stay on top but the next generation will be a loss for Sony if you compare to the PS2 generation and that' s something they can' t afford concidering all they' ve put on the PS3.

We can' t agree on that cause it' s just some voting done by some people and while it' s nice to know what people think it has nothing to do with winning or loosing. E3 2000 was a huge show for Sega and DC - they totally kicked Sony' s ass but it didn' t go so well with sales. People said that Sony lost E3 but later they sold more PS2 units than with the PSX.

Thats exactly why I wouldn' t be surprised if sony still maintained, although I think they need it because if they still notice they can sell anything so long as it says sony I think they' ll put even less effot in. And if that were to happen I think i' d be even less enthusiastic about what they do the following gen. Like I said though these polls and stuff always seem to be less in sonys favour yet they come out on top.

But it' s not just the polls that are showing a dark future for Sony. The 360 and DS sales, the analysts predictions, common sence, 3rd party developers, all of these things are saying " Sony did it wrong this time" . Sony will probably be No1 this time but I don' t think they can afford losing their superior No1 spot concidering how much they' ve put on the PS3. ANd with the Xbox brand getting stronger and stronger they' re in big trouble. Sony are having trouble with other products as well with Apple and Samsung crushing their TV/mp3 sales. The only hardware Sony has gotten right lately are their SonyEricsson Walkman phones.

I agree with ginjirou, who here saw the fall of nintendo with n64? They basically dominated, and lost, and what happend in next gen aafter that? It even lost to XBOX. I feel the decline of sony, and a arise from Nintendo.

I think another reason why I don' t want to say they' re gonna loose is that I can imagine the embarassment i' d feel if it went otherwise plus I know a lot of people who who' d go ' ' I told you so' ' .

Lol,nothing is certain, however everything points in one direction,is like listening to analyst,we know they arn' t 100% accurate, but they give us a hint on whats coming. I think everything points at right way for nintendo. Remember many people was mad about 360 price,MS even had to make a emergency chatt with J.allard and the 5000 angry xbox fans. I was one of them who was in that chat, prob more then 5000 but many got diss, anyway now sony put 200 dollar or 200 euro pric tag more, and doesnt deliver this e3 in terms of graphic,we all know its runs on alpha, but alpha often means better FPS,not much better graphic at all.

So... talking about the name Wii again, do you guys still feel the same about it? I' ve actually changed my mind and I like it. Maybe not " like" , it' s such a strong word, but Wii works for me. I think Revolution might' ve sounded a little too aggressive to some people. So? Are Wii cool with this or are Wii not?

I dont get angry at writing wii anymore, however i still liked revolution much more. I know it was the code name all along as dolphin was to Gamecube, but they should have stayed with revolution,i hate when reggie says, well it stands for us," we" gamers. So retarded... :P

I honestly still call it the Revolution, I have gotten use to Wii and understand why they changed the name, but I still like Revolution (since it seems that is what it is going to accomplish in the industry).
