I have just went to watch Superman Returns yesterday. I quite enjoyed it actually. It did sort of end on a cliff-hanger though, so there will most likely be a sequel to it.

SuperMan Returns, and bloody hell was that an all american film. It
was typically hollywood, explosions, special effects, no character development
typical love story. Superman and an obvious enemy-kryptonite.

Also, the kid in the film is unbelievably cliched, there is a moment in the film
(marink should support me on this) where the little kid does something that I had
to shield my eyes to, I really did not want them to do it, and then they did! I HATE
it when I am able to foresee what comes next in a film.. That makes it very typical.

I am not talking about just guessing what happens at the end of a film, but being
able to predict the scenes one by one.

I have dibs on Supermans pants over trousers though- the only highlight of the film...
There are two rules to success:

1. Never tell all you know.

Miami Vice: Like Collateral the pacing is slow and the action is sparce. However the story is told even if a bit empty at times and when the action kicks in its quick and fuckn gritty as hell. Te shootouts are some of the most realistic scenes Ive ever seen.

Nonetheless Its hard to recommend this movie due to the pacing and what not, but I enjoyed it.

I' ve recently seen Batman (the first one) - it still holds well and it' s got a great transfer to DVD)

Pirates 2 didn' t like it as muchas the first one.

Promise - it just proves that HERO is unbeatable.

Infernal Affairs - it' s one of the best movies I' ve ever seen (Hong Kong production)

The Promise sucked, but Fearless and Seven Swords rocked just as much as HERO and House of Flying Daggers.

It kicks ass. The 2nd is just as good too!

That movie was great at the beggining but they really screwed the las 20~30 minutes of the movie and it gets boring and anti-climax.

you liked seven swords majik? i must admit the initial scenes were great but the movie gets worst as time goes by and ends up being awful.

Have you guys watched Shinobi? That movie´s story is almost the same story as Basilisk the anime and i really wished they stuck to the anime´s story because it was awesome. They ended up making a crappy movie with some great details.

To me Hero is still the king.

Saw Superman again with a different group of friends. Better the second time, but still not remarkable.

Saw a trailer for step up and world trade center, both of which were good.

Finally watched my copy of the uncut Sin City. I got the collector' s edition back in January for my birthday but never got around to watching it. I freaking love that movie!

Dude, I felt so uneasy during that movie. I felt like less of a person when I was done watching. That movie is just another reason why drugs scare me and why I' ll never touch them.

I' ve seen Batman (the very first one) again - it' s just great - it hasn' t really aged that much.

I' ve watched Tae Guk Gi (the Brotherhood of War) - Korean movie (for the second time , this time showing it to somebody) and it walks all over any US efforts in war movies (Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down and so on).A M A Z I N G.

Beyond the Clouds - Anime - it' s art in motion , every background is gorgeous - it' s a joy to look at.The story is nice and deep with some serious background , but the beauty is what I will remember the most.

Nah, the first movie (with Michael Keaton as batman) was complete shit, the 2nd one " Batman Returns" (also with Keaton) was much better. All the other ones after that were shit too until last year' s Batman Begins.

It' s got that Silent Hill touch...

Batman with M Keaton (the first one) is my favourite - every other Batman sucked and Batman Begins was awesome when you wathced the trailer , but the movie was crap.

Saw a strange action/crime drama called The Boondock Saints. It' s about 2 Irish American brothers who get fed up with the mafioso running around Boston and start killing them off. It features Billy Connolly as a 50 year old, cigar chomping hitman and Wilem Dafoe as a gay FBI inspector. ' Nuff said.

Requiem for a Dream... freakin´sad movie

Must agree with this, felt bad inside after watching that movie.

I' ve seen Batman (the very first one) again

I liked the original, liked Michael Keaton at batman.

I recently saw a few films:
-' spring, summer, fall, winter... and spring' (Bom yeoreum gaeul gyeoul geurigo bom) a korean movie with very little speaking. " This film takes place in an isolated lake, where an old monk lives on a small floating temple. The wise master has also a young boy with him that teaches to become a monk. And we watch as seasons and years pass by..." - IMDB.

- ' Ichi the Killer' , I watched this based on a friends descrpition his friends couldn' t sit through the whole film.... Too disturbing or something. Maybe I am de-sensitised but it didn' t seem too bad to me, it was interesting though.

- ' My Scary Girl' Interesting film a guy falls in love with a girl who keeps something interesting in her freezer.

More list as i watch a lot of films but i feel this is enough for now.

Quick question, does anyone know where a list of HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray dvds currently out or soming out soon? Preferabbly up to and around the time of the HD-DVD add-on for the 360, curious to see if I' ll even be interested in any of the movies to merit buying the thing anyways.
