I said I would write the script for either game when I get into the biz(not really ' steal' your ideas, though), if you are interested. After I get some of my own ideas out of the way, that is...

Y' see, whilst that would work it' s also quite conventional, and therefore
hardening the characters image. From what VX wrote, the idea seems to be
heavily dependant on magic taking place. Where the huge brute character is
the rough n' tumble half and the female character is mainly support but not
too keen on fighting...

A typical situation would be the girl trying to avoid as much confrontation where
as the brute would want to go in head first.

From a co-op aspect, the person playing as the girl has most of the support
techniques and the killer double-edged moves that surprise her opponents, even
though she seems so frail, that being said after every huge move it' s up to the
the brute to protect her whilst she heals as the brute can fight all night and comes out worse
for wear after most fights.

Playing more on VX' s idea, the brute moves objects that are quite heavy for
the girl, and as VX stated that it was similar to Ico, what he meant was, you' re
both in different places at once - triggering different pieces of the puzzle.

Yes when i said a young girl, im not sure i stated her age, but it would be around 13 or so. Not nearly enough to even put a dent in a warriors armor, not with her hands or a sword for that matter!

Ok, after an hour, here is what I have come up with, remember, there is
always time for suggestions or improvements, and I will alter it as best I can,
this is just concept art of what could be :

First up: The establishing shot of the two main protagonists..



Very unfinished, but had to budget myself as best I could in the hour, that' s
half an hour per drawing. Here I drew inspiration from 2 characters,
Orta and Shenhua (both Sega) and the big brute received inspiration from
the giant robot in Full Metal Alchemist, and the horn idea came from that guy
from dungeons and dragons.

Don' t get inspiration mixed up with copying...

Second shot:



Here is a play on one of VX' s ideas that I drew, again it was half an hour per
drawing, so excuse the bad drawing of the girl and the unfinished drawing of the
brute, it' s concept so let your imagination fill in what is supposed to be there.

The idea of the second drawing comes from King Kong and his giant hands, I
wanted to present a " gorilla" type demeanour in the brute, and show how no
matter how huge he is, he will always jump to protect that girl. I could have
finished the sword, but had no idea how to represent it, so I used that time to
shade a bit of the arm, I only used one pencil so excuse the lack of " depth" and
" shadows" , I promise in the next pic I will break out my different pencils.

Any feedback is welcome, as I have only created what everyone (99% VX) has
put ideas in for..

Ill try to make time to make a 3d version of the sword in max for you to see how imagined it! I like the brute! The girl could look a bit more weary! As what she is expiriencing is very unlike her normal day in the castle!

She' s supposed to be unconscious in the second pic.. Hmm, I have another
pic that may show her emotion, well it' s more like an idea... I' ll get onto it..

Ok, I see what you want VX, what I' ll do is try and connect with the character and
give her a personality, so I can relate to her more...

i didnt have time to do the sword! in Max, but ill get around to it soon!

I imagine the game being ofcourse a 3rd person game, not sure how the camera should work, but im imagining a bit in the style of God of War, no over the shoulder look, i think that would be annoying!

I am still trying to create a good enough story behind her so I can concentrate
on serious character detail, that way the drawing will improve.

Yeah, if you could design a sword in 3dS Max.. What version do you have?

I should update this thread with more images on Friday, as that is my day off
work, and I can finish them then..

they are meant to circle the different spells that she knows, as in change weapon!

Well, I' m working with vers 5 of 3DS Max, just reciting the tutorials until I
can do them all perfectly.

I' ll update this thread majorly on Friday. The pics that I drew already on here are
very sub-par, so as I said, i' ll try and make a story/ background for her and the
brute to make them look a little better. In the meantime...

FINISH THAT SWORD SOLDIER!!

I lurv seeing 3-D stuff that isn' t made by companies

The sword is good... but very Prince of Persia-ish.

It should look more like a cross between a huge bludgeoning (spelling?) tool
and a huge Siegfried sword. As he is a Brute, that sword looks too brittle
for him to use.

But I just LOVE the Sword!!

Love it!

Can you do 3-D characters VX?
