Really? You think so? That' s a pretty bold theory! If only Bungie would make some sort of definitive statement as to whether these images are from a pre-alpha build of Halo 3 or not! I guess we' ll never know for sure!

I' ve never been blown away by the graphics in either of the previous Halo games. Aside from the obvious pop-in issues with textures in Halo 2,

I was pretty impressed with textures on the first one actually.

I really hate it when people make comments like, " omg I doubt this is it" after it was clearly stated. " YES IT IS IT AND IT WILL GET WAY BETTER"

They are probably making the new halo 2 maps to tide people over because they will extend Halo 3' s release, makes sense doesnt it?

Halo3 looks good,no doubt about it,it look next-gen,i just thought it would be better looking,ofc this is beta/alpha i KnOW THAT.

Resistance might look better, but Halo 2 has still got about 200,000 players online every day. A lot of them haven' t ' upgraded' to a 360 yet. Realistically, it might not be until March that PS3s become readily available on store shelves. If someone is on the fence about whether to get a PS3 or a 360, knowing that they might get their hands on a beta test of Halo 3 around that same time could help them decide.

Didn' t we already have this convorsation on another game? I do believe it was Tom Clancy' s Ghost Recon Advance War Fighter. Something with the fact of how crappy it looked at E3...then 8, or whatever, months later it blows us away with its awesome graphics...

...and yet, Halo is still a year away

Something isnt right, so im nice and chilled and I know this game will be definitive!

Why is it that people when people see screen shots of an unreleased product, they all of a sudden start to slate said product? Everyone knows that H3 is in Alpha testing and it will be for another 2 or 3 months before the beta goes online in March, this will give Bungie time to tweak and iron out as many bugs as possible prior to beta testing and then before final release hopefully in Nov next year, try looking at offical 360 mags you will find the same screen shots and also a bit of reasoning behind why they are in that format at the moment, please people try and show some common sense.

Granted, but my guess is that there will be a big visual difference between the solo campaign and multiplayer. If so then it could only really be attributed to them aiming for 40-50 player matches.

If that turns out to be the case i' ll slate the game (or at least the online) no end because Huxley looks stunning.
