You keep forgetting that sony is providing the online service, only the shell of it! Its still the same as before just with a new layer to make it look shiny, and to offer downloads and stuff like that!

Doesn' t the $600 ps3 comes with wireless and a bunch of extra shit, you can just get the $500 version you know.

I mean the wireless adapter for xbox360 costs $100, so an xbox360 with that included would boost the price to $500, only $100 less than PS3.

Its a bad idea offering stuff like wireless included in the box if you have to raise the price 100$ to do it! i for one, dont need since i have a cable running to it in the wall, as other people have had before, to connect either the PS2 or Xbox.

I like having a cheaper console and buying the accesories i want. Thats why the 20gp PS3 model is utterly garbage, you cant upgrade the HDMI port!

Not that big of a deal to me, HDMI would be nice but my 360 looks fine just off component.

And why wouldn' t you be able to uprade the HDD? I understand how you cant add an HDMI to a system that doesnt have it, but as far as HDD goes you can just swap out the old one and stick a new one in.

Anyway, the ps3 is a deal at $600 when you compare it to the 360.

360 = $400
Wireless Adapter = $100
HD-DVD add on - ATLEAST $100.

PS3 has wireless and bluray included for $600 so really the 360 and PS3 are EXACTLY the same price.

After you buy all an 360 with all the accsories then yeah you do indeed get riped off but its all good

The 360 makes this optional. I don' t care for Blu-Ray, and I don' t care for Wi-Fi. Can I spend 200 dollars less and get a great videogame system without a bell and a whistle I don' t care for? No.

That is the main argument as far as price is concerned.

I don' t think i' ll get the hd-dvd add-on not until I think i' m gonna be watching movies a lot.

Could you imagine Sony launching the PS2 with a DVD-drive and that Microsoft would have released the Xbox without one?
But with the Xbox you would' ve had the choice of purchasing a DVD add-on in the future.
That would' ve been stupid.

Here is the diffrence ginjirou,normal dvd' s can play in HD,normal dvd' s is enough for any next-gen game.

Sure it is now - but 3 years from now BD storage could be used in ways we' ve never imagined. :)

It' s a speculation for now , wether this superior storage means a lot or nothing for games, we honestly don' t know - no matter how educated are opinions are.
