Lost Odyssey seems to be everything both Microsoft and Mistwalker have been promising. Microsoft will have secured Unreal Engine 3.0 for them and given them a sh*tload of money and tools for development.

It' s good to know that both Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey look stunning and that we have yet to see Cry On. 360 will definately benefit from having these games exclusive, even if it' s only outside Japan.

Blue Dragon runs on custom build engine right? or did they use UE there too?

I have seen screenshots of the Lost Odyssey demo, and have to say that I am
very impressed, I have also seen the Blue Dragon one, that' s why I said:

I meant only if they benefit outside of Japan. The games are 100% exclusive worldwide, but i meant that with Microsoft failing in Japan that they' ll only really benefit from having the titles in other territories. People who would buy PS3 for FF13 will have to stand back and consider Lost Odyssey.

I think japanese gamers might look at 360 differently if it gets 2 well rated jRPGs.

This movie is much better quality but it only shows CG.Which still is awesome.I love the original design for armour and vehicles.

Much better quality - but my problem is : CG is awesome , but Realtime is just good.

At least this should clear the issue of " do we need CG in next gen games" - everyone should agree that they are used in extremely cool way in LO.

I wonder how Many DVD' s will LO take - I' m pretty sure it wil be more than one if they plan on using as much CG in entire game.

Realtime visuals aside - this could be a great game.

My problem with CGI is that i never felt like i have control of the game.

Ofc i don' t have that under a LO CGI either,but here it stops and let me play under it,seamnsly with real gameplay.

ABout lack of space,well we have no idea how much CGI is being used.
Or how long the game is.
But Sakaguchi used for ex 4 cd' s at FF9,i had no problem with it,so 2 dvd' s wouldn' t be a problem for me eiether,but i doubt that will happedn.

BD trailer is almost entirely a CGI, but it' s realtime parts are awesome.

I suggest that you watch the gameplay footage of BD that is around 8 min long.

And no,that wasn' t CGI at all,instead they blurr the image at the end.

They already said that they can make movie quality in cutsc-nes by blurring.

You mean that fighting part when he fights with knights and then this part when he walks on the battlefield?

These were the only realtime scenes, would you say they present better visual quality than Gears of War?

Once I get a really good resolution trailer I will let you know, but I would like to mention those weren' t the only parts using the gameplay engine. I' d also like to point out Mistwalker said the character models and textures used for the CG are basically the same as the ones used on the gameplay characters, so if you think they are unimpressive you are blind.

Character looks great and there are a lot of enemies , but that doesn' t impress me as much as Gears of War.

I guess 720p is the only way to judge it.

Right now I still think GoW is the best looking next gen game to date but LO is right on its heels.

*edit* Mist walker also mentioned that the video that is being shown at TGS only represents about 80% of how good it will look when the finished product comes out. the graphics are still being upgraded *edit*
