I agree with you on the dashboard. I really like the look of the dashboard itself, but I am not sold completely on the avatars. Other than that it looks like MS had themselves a fantastic press conference.

Once Konami says that Hideo Kojima is developing a new franchise for the 360 then its final

Damn, that came from left field.

So I missed the beginning of the conference since I was out eating breakfast. I have to go back and watch the Gears, Fallout 3, and RE5 stuff (all of which I should be seeing at the event itself anyway in the booths and meetings). I came in when they were announcing the avatars and dashboard. That press conference was just failing all over the place, especially the stupid family games and crap.

Then Wada came out and I started yelling " FFXIII!!!!" but he just showed the games we' ve already heard. When he left I labeled this press briefing the biggest E3 failure I' ve seen. Then Wada came back out and I knew before the trailer even ran the 360 just landed FFXIII. Then the trailer started and I think I just witnessed the biggest megaton in gaming history.

Unless Sony pulls out a fully playable demo on stage of God of War 3 that looks like it was crafted by gods or announces Gears (which still wouldn' t be as big), Microsoft has just cleaned the floor with E3. I mean really... HOLY SH*T!

I can' t wait to read all of the crying, whining, bitching, and moaning at Gamefaqs over the news of Final Fantasy 13 not being an exclusive! OHHHHHHHH I can' t wait! Way to go Microsoft! I won' t be touching the game with a pole of any size but I' m happy to see Square Enix spreading the 3rd party love!

I think the only way Sony could really top this off is that Square announces a FFVII PS3-exclusive remake. , that' s pretty far-fetched in my eyes, but considering Nomura said there was gonna be an important FFVII related announcement (crap, I think it was going to be at their own SE party after E3) I can only dream though!

I do not like the whole new interface, its like it rips of the xmb but makes it kid friendly with those avatras, maybe i perfer to be looking at a menu rather than animated charater when talking to mates.

Actually, I think that while Scene It, You in the Movies and that 1 vs. 100 gameshow thingy were boring, Lips is really exciting. I always hated the selection of songs you had with Singstar, and being able to use the music of your MP3 player FOR FREE sounds like a great idea for me.
