Basically there is no diffrence between your 360 or someone who has his braken.

I say : bring Sega back ;) This generation needs some more old school console makers. Companies that have gaming and consoles as their main goal and not a side business.

But seriously, stuff like this shouldn' t happen on such a massive scale. So Microsoft will put down more money now to fix this? Some extra hundreds of millions of euro' s gone. If I were them I would' ve given up on the console business. Have they earned anything substantial yet since they launched the Xbox?

My red ring of death recently returned and kept that way.. rang up MS support today, Phone on loud speaker for over an hour to no answer.

Lol ive not EVER had a console brake on me and i used most of them to death.I hardly useded my 360 and it still broke

It' s obvious it' s one badly rushed peice of junk..

I' m in thought whether to just forget the 360 altogether and spend money on the console' s that aleast do their job properly..

Sorry,he said that the red ring consoles are the same as the other console and its a internal fault in the console that could happend to other 360.

MS knows it fucked up. And they are doing what they can to patch up and deal with the problem without scaring away people.

Im satisfied with the service im getting with the increased warranty, there are simply no other consoles that can compare with the games that the 360 has. The PS3 will be up there in about a year. But i could still buy two 360 with each a 3 year warranty for the same price that i would get a PS3

Aye,its sad that alot of failures leads to extended warranty but 3 years is great,and mine has been working now for 1.5 year,in fact my ps2 broke every 2nd year...

You should buy your consoles from Norway then Quez, we get 5 year warranty, due to ' kjøpsloven' .. :)

Yeah, I heard reports of loads of 360s braking during gamesshows..

Funny, ive told a few firends about my problems and their like " lol, im on my 2nd, 3rd 360 now" .

No matter what few titles i was after for 360, their nothing when you have a broken 360.

Ive left a message with MS tellin them i want a full refund as there' s no point sending me back another 360 if it' s prone to brake randomly anytime. Not that im gonna miss out anything i cant play ' Properly' on a kick-ass M+K PC, or PS3.

VF5 Vc i REALLY want but im gonna have to just wait.. (i bet SEGA will release a Patch to update the ps3 version anyway). Plus theres much better more exciting, origina,l games on my other consoles.. Mario Galaxy being the one to beat. Coming out Next month too, Cannot wait!!

At least MS extended the warrenty to three years since purchase for everyone. I' m assuming that means they' ll repolace it with a working unit, once it dies.

I originally bought mine on December 13th ' 05, so I have over a year without anything to worry about. I' m sure it will die before then. If not, I' ll kill it.

The only problem might be that things are usually more expensive in Norway. I don' t know if it' s the same for consoles. And since Norway isn' t part of the EU it might be considered to be import by the customs. So this means extra money to the customs and extra VAT on top of everything.

Don' t focus on the negatives, look at the positive.
Not initial price cost, but the 5 year waranty - future proof consoles ftw. :-)
