Just asking...is there anybody else out there who won' t be in Liberty City today?

I was actually planning to pick it up(Even though I thought I managed to avoid the hype train...but it got to me last week and now I want GTA IV, too) but as I am piss poor I simply can' t afford it right now. I' ll get it next week, though....

I' m going to hold off for a little while too. There' s absolutely no reason for me to rush out and get it because;

1- I have a bunch of other games to complete and possibly review.

2- My history with the Grand Theft Auto series. It' s almost like a GTA curse.

It comes out in 2 hours here. I' ll be buying it tomorrow, if I can bum a ride into the next town over to the game store. If not, I" ll have it by Wednesday.

lol, I mentioned it in another thread, but as much as I like the cool stuff you can do in the Grand Theft Auto games, for some reason once I shut the games off, I NEVER return to them.

Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories have all gone down to that GTA curse. I play them for about 45 minutes to an hour, put them aside and never return to them. That' s my fear with the latest installment, 45 minutes to an hour later and that' ll be it.

That' s why I' m in no hurry to get Grand Theft Auto IV. I' m definitely going to get it, I' m just not going to be, " Oh my god, Dude, we have to set up tents outside the entrance of Best Buy like 4 days before the game goes on sale! Party on!"

I' m not getting it for a while, I think. I have a ton of other games that I could be playing, plus I never really got into any of the other ones.

Right now I think I' m gonna start playing Ratchet and Clank. I' ve had it for weeks, and it' s still in the plastic! Actually, I' ll probably just surf for a while and then go to bed, like I usually do.

I' ll probably stop buy target tomorrow or something and pick it up. I can tell by the videos that the controls suck and the frame rate blows so I' m not really that excited. I doubt I would even get it if it didn' t have multiplayer. I' m addicted to pwning nubs.

So confident am I that GTA is going to sell out beofore I can get to it today that I queued up outside my local Game store at midnight to get hold of a copy. It' s the first time I' ve done anything like that. I must say, it was worth it. I' ve only played it for two hours but it' s just... like, everything I thought it would be.

I' m not getting it because it doesn' t really look interesting.

The least they could have done was make the box art look different than that of Grand Theft Auto 3.

Yeah, GTA' s not been my thing - I have been interested in picking up IV though just to see what the series is like. Unfortunately, the XBOX 360 in my house is not mine (and hence if I bought that version I' d never get any game time on it - my brother is vehemently anti-sandbox games for some reason) and I don' t have a PS3. Plus I' m also piss poor, lol.

I did get a little taste of GTA in covering the launch in my local town last night though. It was quite amusing, there was the odd drunk who decided to heckle the poor gamers lined up before he took his Knightmare-esque stagger off home.

I might be getting it in the weekend with some GAME voucher I got in Christmas.

I like the GTA series, but I' ve never managed to play through a single one. Whenever I got bored, I just played " Who can kill the most cops" with a friend of mine.

Four hours ' till I' ve got it in my hands. I put trade-ins/money down on it over the weekend, so all I have to do is present my reciept, and walk away with the game.

I' ll get it on Monday

Ive played enough to fix my curiosity.


It it never ran like an old Sega Saturn Game (around 25fps) i would of been tempted in getting a console version.. PC version it is..


Then again I' m still spending at least an Hour a day on wii Pro Evo 8 and Mario Kart and still have a good few galaxies to explore to get a 100% complete in SMG.. Oh and now Wii-fit in which im gonna put 100% into to see what impact this schedule it' s put me on actually makes a difference (the board and software is actually really, professionally, well put-together.. and certain muscles are actually aching, including my mouth ones due to lmfao during some exercises)..

I can exercise for free. Wiifit is a waste of money.
