Some people include action games with adventure elements, such as The Legend of Zelda
But there is no character customization in stats, moves etc........ Link has a set of moves from beginning to end, NEVER CHANGES. You cannot choose if want those moves or not. In kingdom hearts you can level up, choose the moves YOU want therefore your role-playing. Sorry Majik but you lose this time and the fact that you use Wikipedia as a source is funny.

Who are you using as a definitive source Gaiden? I' d say a wiki article is fair game, especally as articles can be collaborative, or disputive and are normally put together by the people closest to the subject matter.

I dont trust Wikipedia ever since Tiz told me there was a spelling mistake on one of the articles.
That is totally unacceptable, so if Majik is using it as a source it is more than likely that there wrong about Zelda being an ACTION RPG.
I mean you might as well say Ninja Gaiden and Devil May cry are Action RPGs they require quick action or reflexes.

WOW you learn one or two moves after practicing with that old crusty man. That still dosent represent role-playing. Hehe my record againist him was about 500 hits.

The Zelda games contain RPG elements. They' re not RPG' s per say but not every game has to fit into a specific genre. Look at Shenmue for example.

Thats true but it still is not in the Genre of ACTION RPG.
Its Action Adventure period.
Shenmue created a whole new genre completely.
Kingdom hearts Action RPG
Zelda Acttion Adventure
Shenmue FREE

Wind Waker was brilliant!!! Ok it wasn' t as good as Ocarina but it was still an excellant Zelda game. Twilight Princess will be the best yet, I have no doubt about that! Its also ment to be the biggest Zelda game yet as it is ment to be over 70 hours in length.

Windwaker was different, and some people didn' t like them tampering with the formula. They can' t please everyone.
