Technically it does cost to run this program. Electricity. There was some article about how much more power 360 (or next gen systems) consumes over current/last gen hardware.

It' s like, the ultimate in nitpicking. When fanboys run out of fodder, they can always fall back on the " my console is more energy efficient than yours!"

LOL. But these new consoles are getting more expensive to run... I wonder how the uk law thing that doesn' t allow stand-by on electronic products will affect consoles?

I saw this, but the PC was still like 20 times more. Although, the PC isn' t a purely gaming machine, so that' s a handicap.

Dunno if I should take offense to that . I did know a guy, online, who was trying to keep his pc online to get high up on this list of people who have been connect for a certain amount of time.... something like that. I turn mine off when not being used for anything

Well, there' s your emotion engine folks, I want to laugh, cry, sputter, convulse and die all at the same time!

I usually keep my PC off when I' m not surfing the web or doing papers. I' ve got no need for my hellbox to be awake any longer than it deserves.
