Am I the only one who dislikes Metroid prime? and to a lesser extent Zelda?

Never wanted to play metroid, but zelda, I' ve tried but not managed to enjoy one yet.

I played most Zelsa titles, I completed OFT [which was good], 3/4 of the way through wind waker and gave up at the finding scrools part with tingle, in fact right before the final boss, but I got the picture to whats it like. I played a linked to the past alot on the snes, and even a few gameboy games once or twice. The Minsh Cap serves to be my most horrid Zelda experiance. and yet, It just feels dated to me. Tp Is hardly going to change my opionion, but as you have seen I will give it a far cahnce.

I will never Like MP, played it for 20 mins and put it down. Not my type of game. I dont hate it, I just dont want to play it though.


Am I the only one, who dislike Half Life 2? [thought its hype was unbelieve for a boring fps] and Thought Halo was nothing special?

(ok I understand why someone could hate the Windwaker , but ocarina, link to the past,majoras mask - were top notch)

I hate Metroid as well, most overrated series. Zelda kinda sucks now, it was the best in the Gameboy & Snes days but now, meh.

Come on...most people judge Zelda with Wind Waker in mind.Not fair.

oth MEtroid and Zelda have a bit similiar gameplay mechanics actually, so if you really, really hate one of them , chances are, you won' t like the other (but if you hate Metroid for control scheme - you suck).

Still Zelda is Zelda and should at least be given a chance by anyone who really enjoys gaming.

Silent , you' re not the only one :) - Halo was a very good game , but nothing really that great (if it were a GCN or PS2 game, it wouldn' t have been that huge).It was much better than Halo 2 though :)

Didn' t play too much of HL2 but did enjoy what I played but I do think Halo was over-rated, and never even wanted to play through the first one entirely, only did as my friend wanted to play co-op.

The Metroid Prime games are better than all the other FPS games ever made (including Halo, Half-life 2 or whatever you like).

I think Half life 2 is a great connection between FPS and FPA games - it has the best of both subgenres and above all it has immersive storytelling.

Metriod Prime sucks when compared to Halflife 2, Halo, Doom 3, Halflife, Soldier of Fortune, Quake 2, Quake 4, Quake 1, Duke Nukem, Dark Forces, Prey.

I can' t agree that Metroid sucks comparing to any of those games , but it' s hard to agree on it being the best FPS either.

As always the truth lays in the middle of those two extremes.

But prey,dark forces,soldiers of fortune,Q2? these games were never considered to be great FPP examples

Metroid is a great game and while you may not like it - it still is a great game.

I fully understand if someone feels that many of the other mentiond FPP games are better than Metroid Prime. I' d actually be surprised if someone else but me thought otherwise.
But to say that Metroid Prime sucks is weird. Ok, it may not be for you but just check the average score of the games and you' ll see that it' s up there with Halo and Half-life 2. That' s how it is with different games. They' re either loved or hated.

I respect people who like it, as it must be a good game for them [Metroid]. But not for me, no thanks.
