I' m a freak of nature, that is, I have parents from different countries so I have to say I' m swedish. If I have to base my answer on what countries my parents come from I' ll say I' m a half-blood freak.

My dads last name is italian,but that reletive came to sweden in late 1800.

If i did a history research i could see that my family 99% of them has lived here from 1600+
You can only search that far with people that was normal.
Since only noble/kings etc was recorded before.

Interesting case going on just now with a Thai-born guy in the Shetland Isles, lived in Britain since he 9 or 10. He served some time 2 years ago for fire-starting, and last week the home office tried to deport him. 1/3rd of all the people on Lerwick signed a petition saying he should not be sent home as they consider him a bona fide Islander!

I thought he probably should be deported until I saw the support he had from other Lerwickians(?)! A good grey answer for those looking for a black or white solution. Also shows that really it should be down to a community to decide what' s best. The guy basically still has no rights as a British Citizen, even though he' s lived on the island for 15+ years. He was due to be deprted back to his " own" country and he doesn' t even speak the language! I hope he can win his case, however with practically the whole island backing him I can;t see the government deporting him now.

My parents are both Polish , but I was born in Libya (Africa) and I spent there 2 years before getting to Rome (2 months there) and then to Poland , where I live now :)
