First of all a new controller does not, and I repeat does not constitute immediate innovation in gameplay. If you really think about it, a lot of the Wii titles that are coming out or already out like Brain Age and Big Brain academy are the exact same game you can play on your DS. The only difference being that on the DS you will use your stylus, wheres on the Wii you are using the Wiimote. Come on now!!!! Is that the best you can come up with? Putting together a bunch of games that are pretty much point and click? Playing games this way in my opinion is the same as using a lazer pointer on your TV. Now with a game like Metroid Prime coming out, I think we will finally see a good use of the Wiimote, at lest I hope so. I am still very skeptical of how the Wiimote will work for games like SSBB and Mario Galaxy though. IMHO I believe that platformers and fighting games need to be left to using a control or a good fighting stick. It' s funny, the Wiimote would be best used for FPS. MS should have thought about this.

Its hardly as precise as a mouse, its common sense, the fine movement you have in your wrist as way more than what you have in your entire arm.

I agree, but I do think that the Wiimote is going to work great with Metroid Prime, and I do think that it would be awesome to have on the 360 for all of its FPS. Anyway, back on topic. One MMO title coming to the 360 that looks to be very promising is Huxley. Because of games like this and Alan Wake and others yet to be announced for 2008 make me pretty sure that the 360 is in no trouble. That and the roll out of the new 65nm for the 360 hopefully will fix the biggest problem they have which is the red rings of death.

I heard rumours they were fitting the 65 into repaired consoles, which is good news if its true. Die Console Die!

I am still very skeptical of how the Wiimote will work for games like SSBB and Mario Galaxy though. SSB has (i think 5) different control types .. As for Mario Galaxy, if you' ve ever read the previews or blogs from the people who had extensive playtests with the game, there' s really no need to be skeptical, Its game of the year material.

ORIGINAL: dg_85 Isnt it funny that when the wii is dominating both other systems the sony and MS fanboys label it as " not a real game machine" . so what is a " real" game machine? Is it one that uses a 6 gen control? or a machine that focusses itself completely on graphics but not gameplay? Unlike many of the " real" gamers, i really couldnt care less how many times i can shoot someone in the head in Halo, or how they may have the ability to click the left joy stick after killing another player to t-bag them? if I had to choose thw wii, the so-called " not a real game machine" . Or the machine that is a constant *** up that makes extremely good use of its warranty, then i choose the so called non-gamers machine. When a company like MS cant design a machine that doesnt overheat, scratch discs, lock-up, an atrocious console interface (the console menu, not the machine itself) and generally have a new problem every other day, its quite sad. They are experienced enough in software and hardware to have done it better. As always with microsoft though, it just concentrated on the quickest way to suck out some money, rather than focus on good quality, which nintendo has done and it speaks for itself. Hahahahahahahahaaaaaa. Phew, that was a good ribbing.

Quality? Ok, so they made a machine that doesn' t break down when you look at it the wrong way. I will agree, that is quality. When it comes to software however, the quality does go to MS and when the games come out PS3. Porting a DS game over to the Wii is not quality. I know, Mario Galaxy, SSBB, and Metroid Prime are coming out, but that is only 3. So we have it then. Hardware quality has to go to the Wii and PS3, no brainer there. Software, has to go to the 360 and PS3.

and when the games come out PS3 . WHAT? why excuse the PS3? Your comments have actually got me thinking and What ur saying is complete Ignorance.. Off the top of my head Let me Pick out Wii' s good - great, and potentially great titles for it' s 1st year Zelda: OOT Resident Evil 4 Wario Strikers Super Paper Mario Wii Sports (made for the Wiimote, not touch screen) Cooking Mama (made for the Wiimote, not touch screen) Rayman Raving Rabbids (made for the Wiimote, not touch screen) Big Brain Academy (made for the Wiimote, not touch screen) Wario Ware (made for the Wiimote, not touch screen) Excite truck SSX Sonic and the Secret Rings Metal Slug Anthology ___________________________ Super Mario Galaxy Super Smash Bros: Brawl Metroid 3 Zack and Wiki No more Heros lost in blue Trauma Center 2 Fire Emblem: The Goddess of Dawn Animal Crossing online NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams Battalion Wars 2 Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles Alien Syndrome Endless Ocean Soul Caibur Legends Pokemon Revolution Boogie Party (made for the Wiimote and could not be done on DS) Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (made for the Wiimote and could not be done on DS) Mario & Sonic at the Olympics Now List the 360' s and PS3' s 1st year Line up and tell me if it' s anywhere Near as Varied or quality as that.. Try and be more open minded before making such Claims.

Varied? My ass. It has got quite some variety at first sight but that' s only because of games like Cooking Mama. If you look at traditional gaming genres it really lacks there. What about a decent FPS ? Or a good RPG? Or an awesome racing game? So far, Wii has got nothing in that department. So while the line up so far MIGHT seem more varied, in fact, if you look at it from a core gamers point of view - it' s not. Qualitywise I also see the 360 kicking Wiis line-up all over the place so far. (Keep in mind, I am only judging what has been released so far, simply because Wii is lacking a constant stream of high quality games and I want to point that out).

Launch: Project Gotham Racing 3 Call of Duty 2 Perfect Dark Zero(Yeah you can argue about this one, I know) Kameo Amped 3 Condemned After Launch till summer: GRAW Oblivion Dead or Alive 4 Rockstars Table Tennis Top Spin Tennis Burnout Revenge That' s all I could come up with but It shows that in key areas the 360 simply has more and better games. (And I am also still wondering why you are including Resident Evil 4. If it was, say, a proper remake(Like RE1 for PS1 and RE1 for Cube) or something it' d be okay but besides the controls nothing has changed. So why include it?)

Could you PLEASE stop being a total idiot, dude? I mean you are counting Zelda and RE4 and then complaining that games like Oblivion aren' t exclusive? Wow, thats a nice double moral standards you have there. Oh if we count it YOUR WAY, SSBB is also a second year title. Sorry dude ;) And Gears isn' t, it has been released November 7th. EDIT: Why the hell did you remove your posting this time? " LOL. Rainbow 6, CoD3, GoW, were 2nd year titles.. PDZ is total Garbage + Oblivion, COD2, GRAW is out for pc too."

You can' t say anything good about Wii or especially over the mighty 360.
