One of my FAVORITE things about changing discs is reaching the end of disc 1 only to find out that your copy of the game is missing disc 2!!

There has NEVER been mention of a 40GB + Xbox 360 game. Trust me.

That game would have to be over 4 times as big as Oblivion,or any MMORPG to date for pc or console.

lol i doubt that.

You wanna bet?!

Actually, cancel that, as I think you have the better odds.

What back-alley did you buy your games from?? lol

That' s never happened to me.. Although the only multiple disc games I have
bought are Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue 1 and 2...

That actually happened to a DVD set I purchased from Best Buy.. I bought SLEDGEHAMMER Season 2, went to change to Disc 3 and saw that it was missing, and the DVD set was brand new to

Shenmue 3 is out in the arcades! I just played it at the bus station. It should be translated for home consoles by Acclaim really soon. Hopefully they leave the fatalities intact!

Wow! You really think so?
Or is it just the Sega love in you that makes you believe?

While i love sega most of all, i would not make such a statment if i had no idea what i ment.

If you look ealier in this very thread, you will see why.

Of last generation, only the xbox could have come close the dreamcast' s geometric ability, but only through raw force.

The z-buffering on the ps2 and the game cube pale in comparison.

Here' s a link again, how come none of you heard about this, everyone at the Dojo has.

My theory on Shenmue 3 being on 50 plus gb isn' t just out of thin air.
Shenmue 1 and 2 was on 8gb.
Shenmue 3 is supposed to be 3 times 1 and 2 put together.
Since Shenmue 1 and 2 together contained 3 chapters.
The Kikizo article shows shenmue had 1 chapter and that 2 had chapters 3,4 5
and 6.
It is believed that the chapters were cut shorter as Sega officially released pictures of a chapter that looked to be the cut out one.
Also chapter 2 was cut, this means 1 and 2 tigether had 4 chapters.
There' s still another 12 to be seen,
4 times 8gb is 32 gb as they said Shenmue 3 wll also have 1 and 2 in it
obviously re done.
Add in the space needed for better Shenmue 3 graphics and sound.
Shenmue 3 is expected to have longer and harder chapters, the making of
Shenmue
because The Shenmue series has been in development for so long.
Concept art pictures, deleted scenes, deleted music,
Shenmue 2 beta version this version was way back in 1998, Shenmue Saturn version.
Even probably a Beta version of shenmue 1 and 3 on DC this
version was also way back in 1998, as it shows Mark was a enemy to Ryo in Shenmue 1.
We have never seen the rooms of the 1998 Shenmue premiere which are obviously parts to Shenmue 3.
The Saturn version video was unlocked for finishing Shenmue 2 so i would think the whole Saturn version being in it would be included.
Since this game costed the most to make i think they might go all the way and even add in extra stuff as it' s going to be the last game in the series, it should go out with a bang.
Many people want both languages in it so they might add that in too.
Incase of mistaken iddentity do not get involved in circus acts, trust me.
If you have a urge to level pre order a Wii for that rush of Wii to come to fruition.
Doing those link things is so much fun, zzzzz.

As i said,xbox360 has a processor who can compress every file, and is extrmley strong, and just do as with shenmuye2,use 2 dischg then.

50 gb is just ridicolus.

It' s much better on 1 disk and a game can never get too big.

It feels more epic and like a story if its on multiple discs anyway..

Not to say that I prefer that, but either way I don' t care. It probably costs
less to develop on multiple discs than blu-ray. I think everyone knows the
financial deficit that Shenmue put in Sega' s pockets.. Anyway to lower
development costs is a welcome approach...

It costs less by far as they' re getting mass produced.
It feels more epic and makes it look more advanced on 1 disk.
It' s as much of a leap as from VHS to DVD in terms of cost and performance.

For some reason when I played 1 I liked the whole changing discs thing it gave you and idea of how much of the story you had left to unfold plus it felt fresh everytime you changed. One the second it was just one disc on the xbx version and for me it felt kinda empty though the story and the movie all fit I kinda missed the feeling changing the disc at a junction gave me.

I' m not playing Shenmue with the PS3 controller. The 360 controller will work much better with Shenmue. I don' t care if the game will be on 10 discs and cost $800, it will still be worth playing on the 360 thanks to the better suited controller. It' s not that the PS3 controller is worse than the 360 controller in every genre, it' s just that for Shenmue I find the 360 controller to be the best one.
Unless they change anything in the game but that' d be a deadly sin!

I forgot about that actually... That giant piece of motion-sensing non-imaginative
re-hashed " we don' t wanna settle the Immersion lawsuit" pad.

NO WAY!!! Am I not having vibration feed-back when I am fighting. I don' t
want to sway the pad left and right to dodge!

And pointing the pad north, south, east and then west to do the Darkside Hazuki
is not my idea of how a game should be played.

" But what about the *sniff* third party pads?"

What about them? They will be huge, clunky and multicoloured, with air
conditioning (Yes, my friend has an " air-flow" pad), and have frilly bits on the
handles to provide grip.. I say NO THANKS!!

It costs less by far as they' re getting mass produced.

.... Do you own shares in Blu-ray technology? (Just a question..)

Fair enough the disk probably works in Sony' s favour, that still isn' t any reason
that Shenmue III would be better on PS3, mind you, it may also be jaggy.

SO it all comes on about 4 discs, I feel more accomplished having a multiple
disk game... Each disk has a different image on it, so thats taken at least 12%
of the hidden artwork already, leaving more space.

I would NEVER consider playing Shenmue with a motion sensing pad,
thats giving the developer the permission to be an idiot.

(Already, Kojima talked about using the pad to shake enemies for info)

(And the Tekken devvies say they may use the pad to get out of grapples...)

Woah!! That' s way too many ideas to throw at me, you developers really have
spines of your own.

I don' t want to see on the screen " left" in a QTE, and then accidentally throw my
pad, which means I' ll have to scramble for it, pick it up again, and that means I' m
in 2 QTE' s...

Oh, and Shenmue being on loads of disks wouldn' t be too bad.

I don' t think Shenmue 3 will use motion sensing as it' s optional, but if it does it could turn out real well.
Jaggies won' t happen on a disk with more space it will only happen on a disk with less space.
Since the disk has more space they don' t have to compress it so much this means better stability, sound and graphics throughout.
There shouldn' t be any jaggies at all anyway, no matter what version.
Shenmue 3 on PS3 ftw.
