Suda 51, Managing Director of Capcom' s Studio 4, states that his studio has confirmed its plans for their first next-gen title with Nintendo, and has said that they will officially unveil the game at E3 next month.

Studio 4 are the guys behind Killer 7, ...perhaps it could even make launch...

yeah back in the days of TGS 2005 they were the first to talk about some concept they have for a game ...

About HotD4 - I think it' s possible with SD resolutions.I also think that you would play with revmote and some addons to make it feel like a gun.

The Revolution scares me. It will probably changes our lives... forever!
Btw, I' ve played an arcade game where you hold a sword and cut down enemies by swinging it. It was awesome and worked perfectly. I got tired though but that' s because the sword was quite heavy. If the Revolution can match that experience, which I' m sure it will, then the Revolution will probably be my favourite console.
The arcade game shows that the idea of controlling games like this isn' t new. But Nintendo is taking it to new heights. If you want innovation and all that, then it' s the arcades you need to visit.

These are GCN CPU and GPU Specs :

IBM Gekko CPU

PowerPC
485 MHz
32-bit integer
64-bit floating-point
64KB L1 cache (32KB instruction + 32KB data)
256KB L2 cache
1125 Dhrystone 2.1 MIPS
1.94 GFLOPS
CPU external bus

64 bits wide
162 MHz
1.3 gigabytes per second bandwidth
(GPU) ATI Flipper

162 MHz
4 pixel pipelines
1 texel per pixel pipeline
4 texels per clock cycle (4 pixels with 1 texel per pixel)
Maximum of 8 texture layers per rendering pass (done in 8 clock cycles)
650 megapixels per second
650 megatexels per second
Point, Bilinear, Trilinear, Anisotropic Mip-Map Filtering
Perspective-Correct Texture Mapping
Bump Mapping
Environment Mapping
24-bit Z Buffer
S3TC Texture Compression
Subpixel Anti-Aliasing
Geometry and Lighting Engine
33 million polygons per second (peak)
6 million to 12 million polygons per second (with effects)
Hidden Surface Removal (HSR) based on early Z-test
Virtual Texture Design
2MB Embedded Frame Buffer
1MB Embedded Texture Cache
10.4 gigabytes per second texture cache read bandwidth
scene texture data stored in 24MB 1T-SRAM main memory
8.6 GFLOPS

I now understand why they have 2 levels of RAM in rev - first is 24 MB (like GCN - probably for compatibility of GC games) and the other (external RAM as they call it) is 64MB - both are accesed at the same speed.

I think upgrading clock speed of GPU and CPU isn' t the only upgrade - it' s impossible - with that amount of RAM they need bigger bandwitdth for optimal performance (since GCN hardware is optimised for lower clock speeds and 24MB of RAM).

I think that these days normal mapping and other effects are taken for granted.I would expect REV to have some signifficant architecture changes in GPU at least. Some features will definitely be added.

You' re probably right about the RAM. The 24MB block is limited to that exact amount so Gamecube games don' t get confused and not run. It does make sense.

Now let' s get some good scans! These are overly compressed. A lot of those screens look like cut scenes or renders since they are shooting to the left and not towards you.

Yeah they do look a bit ...not realtime ...We' ll see at E3 - it' s been confirmed as a launch title and will debut there.

Still those screens look fuckin awesome...

Remember it' s not a normal first person game, ...you control the hand with the remote, even controlling the tilt of the gun.

They look fine to me.

They have been touched up though, that' s fairly obvious.

I think the characters look kind of bad. Well not bad but they look like they came from an Xbox game.

Hopefully they will die in a next gen way bleeding next gen blood bringing next gen smile on our retro faces :)

I wonder to what degree those screens are upgraded.

Can' t they show it today? god dammit it' s killin me :)

Well the first thing I' m hitting at E3 will be the Nintenod booth. I want to get a shot on the Rev before it' s swamped by 4 hours lines (Zelda last year...). Then I' ll actually be able to make up my mind on whether I like the thing or not. From there I may hit the PS3 just to get some time in with what the machine has to offer. From there I' ll be drooling over Gears of War.

You' ll be lucky. Sony are going to be showing off PS3 the way they did with PSP. Press will get private viewings of whatever Sony choose and you' ll have to queue for hours to get to play the thing because Sony aren' t planning on having loads of demo machines on the show floor.

The graphics arent looking as Fantastic now compared to when i first saw them, i think that lighting just threw me off a little.

Since they got Doom3 to run on the xbox, this means that getting ports of such engines used in quake 4 and call of duty would not be impossible. Maybe even a scaled down Unreal Engine 3. Who knows?

Mario has gone UNREAL!

Devs at Nintendo always make a groundbraking revolution in gamedesign when they have new interface (4 buttons for SNES , Analog for N64) , so I would expect some truly revolutionary revisions of Zelda , Mario Wave Race and so on.

Hahahahahaha...

Sunshine sucked when compared to Super Mario 64, but when you compare it to other platform games it fares much better.

Mario 128 (it can' t possibly still be 128) has been in development for ages now. I think the game will be a launch title.

On that note, what games do you guys expect at launch?
