Are you blind/retarded or your english isn' t enough to understand:

No, you' re just confusing. You' re like a hedonistic monkey, jumping between and flirting with the three companies are you please. It' s all good, but it gets tricky when trying to figure out which company you' re backing week in week out.

lol.

I wasn' t impressed, I' m sure it will open the way for console webcam porn and child molestation or something. I used the eye toy and while it was fun for a few minutes it grew old quick.

As a pc user (aren' t we all) video chat is so old, it' s embaressing how much time ign gave to explain about it. I hope they do something cool with it, like the card game sony showed which i thought had potential in ' YuGiOh' kind of way.

About this date/clock thing.
In Sweden we say " 18e augusti" which means we actually use dd/mm/yyyy when speaking. This is because the most relevant value is the date of the day. Even though a conversation is about another month than the current, the date is still more important. In Sweden we use logic.
The more scientific thing to say would be " 2006, august, 18th" since you get more precise after each value.
Saying/writing august 18th 2006 is just weird because the values have no logical order. But I guess that logic isn' t popular in a country where people still use the very unscientific Farenheit, pounds, inches and stuff like that.

And Americans (and the British to some extent) are too stupid to use logic. And what is it with americans and their religion? They believe in the Bible' s version of how the planet was made by God but they don' t believe in Darwins evolution theory... weird!

The origins of our 24 hour day can be traced back at least 4000 years, to ancient Egypt and Babylon. The Egyptians and Babylonians divided the parade of stars that appeared in the sky each night into 12 sections, marked by the various stars that rose and set that night. For example, the star Procyon might rise shortly after sunset one evening, followed about an hour later by Sirius. This defined a kind of heavenly clock, although different groups of 12 stars were used to cope with the slow shift of the night sky during the year. The daylight hours were divided into 12, to match. Two sets of 12 give 24, hence the number of hours in a day.

What did the Romans ever do for us?

The Romans inherited the 24 hour day (in the double-12 form) from the Egyptians, via the Greeks: 12 hours of daylight, followed by 12 hours of night, with hours of variable length depending on the time of year.

Ok that' s like me buying a mazda, and putting new rims on it, and saying I invented it. Makes no fucking sense.

Egyptians invented it, get OVER it.

The Julian Calendar came into being sometime in the first century B.C., Julius Caesar ask the Alexandrian astromomer Sosigenes to advise him on how to reform the calendar. Sosigenes suggestion for a 365.25 days in a solar year was accepted. Julius Caesar directed that this calendar be put into use. The Roman Senate changed the name of the month Quintilis to July (Julius) and the month of Sextilis to August (Augustus). This reformed calendar became known as the Julian Calendar. And January first was the beginning of the New year. However, in AD 567 the Council of Tours abolished January first in favor of March, of which the date varied as to what day was the beginning of the New Year.

The Julian Calendar served as a standard for most European countries and America until the Gregorian Reform of 1582 A.D. and beyond. Since the Russians did not change from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar until 1918, many European have a birthdate based on the Old Style Calendar. Alaska retained the Old Style Calendar until 1867, when they transferred to the Gregorian Calendar. Today the principles of the Julian calendar continue to be used by chronologists. The Julian calendar is formed by applying the rules of the Julian calendar to times before Caesar' s reform. This provides a simple chronological system for correlating other calendars and serves as the basis for the
Julian day numbers.

Julian to Gregorian Calendar

The reason for the reform in 1582 from a Julian to a Gregorian Calendar was because the year of 365.25 days was too long. This error of 11 minutes 14 seconds per year amounted to seven days in 1,000 years. The calendar became increasingly out of phase with the seasons. And by 1545 spring time (vernal equinox), which was determining Easter, had moved 10 days from its proper date!!

The Julian Calendar became known as " Old Style" and the Gregorian Calendar became known as the " New Style" . Therefore anyone born in Russia before 1918, their birthdate is known as " Old Style" .

Loser.
