And as far as Sony is concerned, all the hot air they are making seems to be

You purchase your " grapevine" console, even if the grapes may turn out to be sour

Well, seeing as you' re obviously getting a PS3 because of past glory, then thats
fine. So get a Wii to accompany it. That way you can have one of the 2 consoles
that are going in the " next-gen" direction, and the other thats going in the
innovation direction. So get a PS3 and Wii...

Don' t buy a 360.

I am trying to decide what one to get i havent decided yet i need to find out wat each console offers and which you think is better.

Ofcourse i like the xbox 360 more than the Ps3, in my eyes, all sony does is lie to you, or atleast distort the truth!

if sony are like you say then it looks like ill be better off with a 360.

Right now Xbox has DOA4, Oblivion, Call of Duty 2, Ghost Recon, that are all excellent games, other games are good as well are Kameo and Condemned.

I own an X-box 360.

Fair enough what Sony have promised will probably tempt the more ill-informed
individual, but I am fed up with the bullsh*t. If you were to take it at face
value what both MS and Sony showed last year, you would say PS3 pisses
over 360. Now the reason i own a 360 is because I know what I am getting.

They chose to show Alpha kits last year of the 360, and although it was not a
patch on what Sony were showing; it was good because they were honest.

Now MS have delivered on everything they said the would, and now I am getting
titles that sound really good, and new.

Just a few that I am looking forward to:

Ninja Gaiden 2
Halo 3
Gears of War
99 Nights
Lost Planet
Lost Odyssey
Bullet Witch
Forza Motorsport 2 (only recently, I read something yesterday and it made me
want it)

Mass Effect
Too Human

Those are all exclusive to 360, not forgetting the additional Team Ninja support of
games that I haven' t mentioned (I' m counting on Bishonen for that).

Lord knows what else there are, but someone else should mention a couple
more titles, those are only the titles that I am looking forward to ATM.

There are loads more good titles out there..

If you want the same as next-gen but repackaged in better hi-def " 1080p"
go for PS3. Thats the console you go for if you like conventional games, the
" safe" console where you will get the same type of games that look better. You
know the games will be good.

If you want new IP, and a great online service choose 360, also if you like playing
with friends and online. The 360 will churn out a lot more titles because its
easy to develop for, and also brings new games to the table and you know what
you' re getting.

The Wii, you get this if you like fun and cheaper consoles. Also if you like playing
games with your very younger brother or cousin, the Wii is for everyone,
you will get great, fun games, but not ones that are leaps and bounds better in terms of
looks then the 6th gen.

Personally I am getting a Wii as well, probably go to a friends house to try PS3.

What do you mean you' ll judge for yourself. They were PROVEN to be CG.

If you' ve seen the MotorStorm demo from E32006 (the actual ingame GAMEPLAY) then you' ll know that it looks fu*king rubbish!

We' ve already had this conversation before here and it was determined that while there is still time left for PS3 games to get better visually (just like GRAW on 360), the 360 will be way ahead by the time PS3 DOES launch.

Nothing on PS3 this year or early next year will be able to stand up visually against (my favourite) Gears of War, Mass Effect, and DoAX2 (ALL 360 console exclusives).

What PS3 DOES have going for it is the games that Nintendo and Microsoft won' t have. Games like Heavenly Sword, God of War 3 (it' s obviously going to be released), Devil May Cry 4, whatever comes next from the ICO/SOTC team and ofcourse Metal Gear Solid 4.

It all really depends on your preferences. I mean, a year after PS3' s launch there will be very littlle differences in the graphical qualities of games on PS3 and 360. So just forget about visuals because in SD especially it' ll be almost impossible to tell the difference.

Right now 360 has bigger exclusives (i' m thinking Huxley, Alan Wake, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Cry On, Lost Planet, Dead Rising etc...)

But like i said, it all depends on your preferences!

Microsoft have a 3 game deal with Epic. Only Gears has been announced so far, ...the 2nd is likely to be UT2007 after a brief (read 3-6 month) period of exclusivity on PS3 and the 3rd is likely to be another Unreal Championship game, seeing how succesful the series was on Xbox.

GoW2 coupld be a possibility further down the line, but with GoW still to be released and the team then going on to provide multiple additional content downloads (most likely online maps/weapons/characters etc), GoW2 doesn' t even need to be talked about right now.

CliffyB onces speculated on that doing a sequal for Gears of war would take very little time.

Metal Gear Solid looks really good i dont think theres much that can beat that.

It seems that everyone here has a 360 and dosent like PS3, either they have been lied to in the past which seems quite sad or they just generally prefer 360 which is cool itz all down to preference at the end of the day.
