The PS3 will only be packaged with composite AV cables. Fortunately I already have component cables for my PS2. They' ll work. Fa sho.

Well Microsoft sells their wireless adaptor for $99.99, and the " premium" PS3 includes one, as well as 40GB more of HDD.

I prefer wired internet vs wireless. I have a switch by my game systems anyway. $99 to take a USB port and convert it to wireless is insane, though.

Also, it looks like those prices were a typo. They have since fixed them to $499 and $599. My dreams have died. :(

Then the 360 will be fine, sure there are loads of fanbois who say that the PS3 Roxxors, but Sony still has to prove it. Only games worth glancing at right now are MGS and Resistance.

IF sony were forced to drop the launch price of the cheaper ps3 to US$400 then it would be R.I.P. sony, not microsoft. That would mean they would lose an estimated US$400 per console sold, instead od US$300. That means they would be paying for half the console out of there own pocket - thats not good business, especially when you are not guaranteed market dominance, are late to the ' party' and have the lowest install base of all three next gen consoles. I' m also sure a further drop in price will piss off all the investors who are already worries about the ps3.

I knew it was a mistake, I wanted to see the xbox fagboys get their panties up in a bunch (quez, etc).

You know you fuckers are scared to shit that sony releases PS3 for $399.99, it would kill your already half-dead piece of crap you call a " console" .

If they relesed a 399.99 PS3 it would kill Sony not MS. Microsoft said they would make another after 360 regardless of the outcome this/next gen and they have to pockets to do so, Sony on the other hand would be severely fucked if they lose money with PS3.

Personally though I would have liked to see it so low, I might even consider buying one.

Edit: I guarantee we won' t ever see the PS3 and the 360 retailing for the same price. Price drops will happen as close to simultaneously as possible.
