Well, I was just foolin' with ya! I, for one, *sorry Quez*, am COMPLETELY excited about the fact that AC will more than likely own my face. Yes, it will own my face, full-on and outright.

So will Splinter Cell. The two are completely distinct from one another, and I will own both, and both will own my face. I might have to buy another face so that they can each have their own individual face.

There. I' m done now.

If you really think that Assasin creed is Splinter cell in medival time, then you really need a headshot or a GRENADE DOWN YOUR MOUTH.

The two are different in almost every way the only thing they share is probably genre' s but even that i not so sure about.

Splinter cell you use darkness to get the job done
Assasin creed you use people to get the job done
Splinter cell you are screwed if you get caught
Assasin creed you always get caught but pwn by escaping in style

i could go on but i hope by now you get the picture

Y' know in Splinter Cell, if you get caught, he tells you to finish the mission in your
own way, well that has been the order of the day since Chaos Theory (duh?)...

hehe YOUR FUNNY tim

Dont call me bitch again quez OR ill cut off your balls and staple them to your nipples.

the only NEXT GEN game i would consider being at least half original is ASSASINS CREED.

Quez, what are you still going to play online with him/him on saturday?

i totally get what your saying uumai.

the only NEXT GEN game i would consider being at least half original is ASSASINS CREED.

its a new take on the stealth genre.

Your not really right in this at all!

AC is more of a Prince of Persia assasination game, there really isnt much stealth in what we' ve seen up untill now!

But if we return to the discussion of whether or not GoW is as next gen as AC i will argue that it is!

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, i present to you excibit A and B. A showing a picture of a Gear ducking behind a wall, and B showing a picture of an Assassin clinging to a wall.

Excibit A

Excibit B

Ladies and gentle men, i will show you that both these techniques have been done before in other games, yes ladies and gentlemen, i would like you to have a look at excibit C and D, showing respectedly GRAW and Prince of Persia.

Excibit C

Excibit D

Now it is plain for everyone to see that both games reuses old ideas, " copying" from other games if you will.
.
.
.
But
.
.

What will be apparent upon the release of these two games, is that they will improve upon their respectiv genres. That is right! Gears of War will make ducking for cover, blindfire, and throwing grenades better than in any other game before its time, thus making it truly next gen. Assassin' s Creed will make climbing more intuitive, it will give a new view to climbing games and will thus shape the world of games after its release.

Ladies and gentlemen, i ask of you, to look at these two games with reason, neither is more nextgen than the other, and neither is truly innovative though both are original. I trust in you to not convict, and i did not have sex with that woman

The best thing about Gears though had to be that fact that it was a breeze to pick up and play. The controls were perfect and felt as if they needed no tweaking whatsoever. Moving from cover point to cover point was easy and a lot of fun. This game feels in no way like Kill-Switch. The cover system is the easiest and most innovative cover system implemented in a game so far. I really had some small doubts about how entertaining this could be, but make no mistake, Gears is about to make taking cover a lot of fun.

Great find Vx, now should I pre-order Gears? Or will it not be sold out?

I think I can grab a copy of it on launch...

But Vx your focusing in on one aspect of AS which is climbing. Every feature in GOW has been seen in some way or another in previous games.

But what AS has which no other game does is social stealth, the abiltiy to interact with people around you in order to kill your target. Name me a game that has that feature.

I can name you plenty of games which has chainsaws, ducking behind walls etc.......

Lets first see how social stealth works in the game before crowning it. It might just be a gimmick!
