Well I got to help my friend who tested out the web cam yesterday. He has one for me as well. I just have to go pick it up from him. It' s pretty high quality for a webcam. It has several video filters and stuff. It' s also got some other features that I' ll tell you guys about later. Strangely enough this thing seems like it was built for virtual porn. I' ll explain later.

yeah this was touched upon briefly in a ps3 thread, IGN weekly video not only has the ps3 interface, but shows how the 360 webcam is and the filters that can be applied to a pictures and such. check it out all who are interested.

Well the whole porn thing comes from the vibration thing. If you squeeze both triggers on your 360 controller the person you are in the chat with will have their controller rumble. Think about it.

I don' t think it' ll be that big.. A lot of people have slim tv' s and a huge camera would just all off... or crush the tv, depending on how huge it really is.

Seriously though, they may say something next week, but i don' t think it' s as big as great as it' s being made out to be. It has shown some cool stuff, like the regular cups to interface with the onscreen image, and the card game thing... but it' s still just a camera, like you can use on your pc

Yeah, streaming HD is HIGHLY unlikely.

Yeaj the Vision Live Camera looks awesome. The whole facemapping thing for games like Rainbow Six: Vegas should be a blast but the videochat still image capture, video capture etc will be where it shines.

The gesture recognition technology looks cool and it can be used just as Eye Toy to play games with but i didn' t like Eye Toy and i doubt i' ll play any camera specific games with it.

The Digimask technology went down very well at E3 too and looks like it works well...







The cameras specs are great for what it' s expected to go for ($39.99 packaged with a game called TotemBall) and the video chat looks really well done. Check it out...

Sure it could there may be a limit on how much data meaning how many seconds you could record .

I dont think we will have an hd movie lol just an couple of seconds but i did find this data off of ign and if i read this correctly this indeed will be an hd camera

Mikay, that article was written around the time of the 360' s launch. It' s old and well before Sony had given any actual details. The camera itself was shown off at GDC and E3 so those are the articles your looking for.

I' d expect high resolution still photo' s and 480p video. If it' s higher then i' d be very suprised but it' d also be very welcome.
