Who actually waited and didn' t get the Xbox360? I' m waiting until the 2nd or 3rd generation hits the market. Due to the past experiences and known issues to occur with 1st wave generation consoles. However, the 1st Xbox wave didn' t have too many issues when compared to the PS2 wave. If I' ve waited 4-5 years for a new system then, I can wait another 6-8 months. Also, how many of the US players have tested the games that they can play from Xbox 1 titles or is there a list yet?

I want to know if I can play these Xbox 1 games on the 360. I haven' t seen any posts stating otherwise but, that' s prolly cause everyone is busy playing:

And if you' re wondering why you' re some of your favorite series are not on the list it' s because MS simply haven' t gotten to them yet. The 360 uses emulation in order to play XB1 games, and when one version of the emulator was done it automatically allowed for a ton of other titles to work as well. So eventually all titles will be BC (at least that is MS' s goal)

I' m of the camp that' s waiting and didn' t get one yet. Actually I' ll be getting a Japanese core unit early next month and will try to pick up an American core unit shortly after Christmas or New Years...

Nice, thanks for the list, lotusson. I can' t believe Brute Force made it. I actually have Alias and it' s pretty fun but lacks on fluid gameplay.

I' m waiting until Spring (by then the " issues" with the 360 should be fixed, I hope). I only wanted it for Christmas because Oblivion was coming out, but since it' s delayed until Feb or Mar I' ll wait (Gears of War should be out then too).

I didn' t get it. There are only a couple Maybe-Have games out now and absolutely no Must-Have games. Plus I want them to work on making the system quieter. I hear that it is GOD DAMNED LOUD. That is unacceptable. I would also like them to make a power supply that does not buzz and isn' t the size of a brick. Why do the Xbox systems suck 200watts or more and the PS2 sucks 40? Inefficient design, that' s why. I demand efficiency!

I will probably get a 360, but not until good games come out for it.

I' ll confirm the damn loud bit. Sound like the thing has a propeller inside, not a fan. Ok, not that bad, but the loudest fan on a system I' ve ever heard. Havne' t had the buzzing power supply though.

Unfortunately, it' s not that simple. I talked to the electronics department manager and the store manager at Walmart (where I bought my defective 360) and they both said that they have no idea when more units will arrive. They both (and some miscellaneous sales person at Best Buy) are estimating their next shipment at around Christmas! I' m sending mine in for servicing, which shouldn' t take more than 2 weeks total (including shipping time). I actually called to get it taken care of on the 22nd, but I didn' t know there was a hotline for 360 problems, so called Microsoft directly. Then, when I called today, I found out that my service order had been cancelled on the 23rd! Apparently the guy got the street name wrong, and they didn' t bother to call me! Well, I called the 360 hotline today, and I should have a box to ship it to them on Tuesday. Whew! Thankfully, they' re paying for overnight shipping!

I' ll have to respond to the 10% defective units reply. As most of you know, Microsoft held back a majority of thier premade or to be made units. A great marketing strategy on thier behalf or a realization that the 1st units would have defective problems and issues. So that way, possible they could work on the units that will ship out in December supposedly which I really don' t see happening. There are a majority of hardware issues mainly due the fact that it packs so much power that if it' s not treated carefully and run properly it will die or have issues occur quickly. Especially the overheating problems, you can' t encase your Xbox360 and its power adapter period. That will result in instant freezing up and possible game errors. If you want your xbox360 to run all night until the next day, I would suggest on keeping it near a cooling fan or just leaving it in an open area space (this means not putting it on your home entertainment system shelf). Sounds ridiculus right? Well, that' s my only suggestion for now and the only way to deal with the majority issue of overheating. When you have that much power punched in a machine with a 200watt whatever power adapter, yes you are going to experience overheating if it wasn' t built correctly with proper cooling methods.

According to this article, a new shipment of XBOX360' s is due very soon.

And according to major nelson,there is no big shipments at all,they gonna ship every week,with same amount of consoles no more no less.
So people should stop thinking of this 2nd shipment apparently.

Yeah, they' re supposed to ship every 7 to 14 days, but seeing as how at the Walmart that I waited in line at got only 18 units (8 premium, 10 core) I would say that this second shipment will be watched VERY CLOSELY by a LOT of people.

I' ve not gotten an X360 as of yet, and do not plan on getting it.
Although if PS3 fails.. Where to turn?

P.S Revolution i do not think of as a console, more like a.. (not a hater) Gimmick? :P
