It was great goal the only problem is that Chelski will pay shed loads for him and he won' t do it again....ha ha ha

and also now irrelevant as Chelski have just won the second leg. Still not as good as Man U thumping Roma 7-1.

No it' s not irrelevant, it' s football it' s always relevant, people still debate the " goal" in the ' 66 world cup. Hell people even still talk about the white horse final in the 20' s.

Didn' t mean it like that. It was a good well taken shot, however it didn' t decide the tie, it wasn' t a controversial decision, and it wasn' t a freak incident, so in a few weeks time people will have forgotten it. Those others you mention do fall into that category.

What drival, that will be seen as one of the goals of the season for 3 reasons:

1 It was scored from an acute angle with pace
2 It was scored against arguably the best keeper in the world at the moment.(even if he does wear a girly rugby league helmet(yes I know it' s for medical reasons.))
3 Should Chelski win the Champs league (If there is a God please don' t let it happen.) Then that will be shown as a goal that kicked Chelski into winning.

1) I agree it was a great goal - although you could probably name half a dozen shots elsewhere in the season that were comparable.
2) Agree
3) Matter of conjecture.

It still doesn' t alter the fact that although it was a good shot, in the context of the tie it didn' t alter the result, and for that reason Essien' s more mediocre effort will be remembered for longer.

I have to agree with Ornodeal, while it was an amazing goal it didn' t decide the tie. It will be remembered as one of the best goals of the season but I don' t think it will be remembered for years to come.

(If there is a God please don' t let it happen.)

Oh god I hope they don' t win it either, fucking hate Chelski!

United were amazing against Roma! I haven' t seen a performance like that from a United team since they won the Treble back in 99. I hope they go on now and win it.

I also hope they don' t let Chelski come back in the Premiership. United are only 3 points ahead now! Well if they play like they did against Roma I can' t see anyone beating them.

We' ll have to agree to disagree on that view.

But yes Man Utd, were almost back to the class of ' 99. I don' t think they will do the treble again this year but I think a Prem and Champs league double would be just as good.
