New gamestop Xbox 360 Omega bundle - Sep 30, 2005 14:53
Hey everyone tell me if you all agree with me saying this is a DUMB idea.

http://www.gamestop.com/gs/360/360_dell.asp

a new bundle costing $4500

it comes with a 42" plasma screen tv which is the main reason i call it dumb. Plasma is the worth technology to use with video games. The games will burn in that new tv in no time.

my complaint wasn' t just the money but who is crazy enough to spend the money on a PLASMA screen for video games i thougth everyone already knew Plasma and video games equal BAD IDEA. If it was DLP then i would have said COOL you get the Xbox bundle and a new DLP HDTV. Plasma technology has lost all it' s hype ever ssince DLP have come to show hey better quality for cheaper price and NO burn in.

Plasma has no burn in issues, its projection tvs that tend to burn in. Plasmas are currently the highest quality TVs above 60in, LCD are the best for smaller tvs, and DLP can be great as well and in terms of strong points and week points they are like a cross with crt and lcd.

Plasmas MOST DEFINITELY have burn-in issues, and severely at that. CRT direct-views are the best 40-inch and under, especially because they are not a fixed-pixel display.

What are you talkign about? Look online Plasma screen are not used for video games because they burn in way to easy i was even told it' s in the manual. DLP is killing Plasma TVa in sales. A Plasma screen $15,000 for a plasma for like a 60" and the new 71" DLP with higher resolution, 10,000 to 1 contrast ratio which is twice the amount of current Plasma for half the price.

wow i mangled that i was multitasking hehe watching tv (the diamondbacks game )

I meant the new 71" is half if not more then half of the price of a plasma of the same size.
