I' m actually doubting this list, solely because Xvid support is on there. Microsoft have avoided it so far because they' d have to pay a shitload of royalties and although it' d certainly be pretty kickass i' m not sure they' d be willing to pay for it.

Sorry, you made a little mistake there Nitro. DivX is the one Microsoft would' ve to pay a shitload of royalities for, XviD is an open-source alternative to DivX.

I' m thought there were legality issues surrounding Xvid? I know it' s open source but it' s definitely not public domain which i' m pretty sure means it would have to be licensed if Microsoft wanted to add Xvid support to 360.

But then Xvid' s association with piracy makes it equally as unlikely.

There are apparently screen-shots of the clan blade being hosted on xboxlife.dk, but I can' t locate them yet, I must brush up on my Danish.

It appears that the guy who first posted this on the xbox forums was the same guy who posted the item about the re-branding of the 360s (core to arcade etc),so as I had doubts about that one, I doubt this one too.

However the original post of the live update has now vanished of the forums which tends to point it being moderated out as if it was a prank it would have been left there.

I must brush up on my Danish.

seriously i never thought about THAT Xvid, i thought may be it' s a feature in xbox live or a periphiral or something, but Xvid !!!! OMG , the value of 360 has just increased once more . you know why i didn' t think about xvid , it' s because it usually linked to piracy somehow, ripped movies etc... i guess i can put many xvid movies in that harddrive now.

I don' t care about dedicated servers I just want an easy way to seperate people in my clan from everyone else in my friends list.

Sure but as long as you are playing over Live the hosting player will always be one up over the others. MS should make some Live software for windows to host dedicated servers!
