Forum Winners: May and June 2004 We decided to announce winners for both May and June together, even though there are a couple of days left until we reach July, in order to get things fully up-to-date with the free game situation here!
Let me start by saying it is getting much harder to decide!
Winner for May: RavenShadow A very active user indeed, whose posts are definitely above your average run of the mill small talk, the kind of thing we like to see around here of course.
Winner for June: Joe Redifer Proving that' s it' s not just about the quantity of posts, but the content too, and overall way in which users take part.
Now, on with the related news! Some important announcements. It' s not just about the numbber of posts, and many of those who came close for June are also solid examples of this - with fewer posts than Joe R - were it not for the fact that they only joined some time after the beginning of June. From now on, a member will have to have been posting since the start of the month (no later than let' s say 3-4 days) to qualify for that month.
A Better Place to Talk Games & Film " Tell Your Friends - Unless your friends suck, that is..."
We almost decded to offer up a bonus prize this month as there were so many additional users we thought were excellent throughout May and June, and really got involved on these boards. However it wouldn' t be fair to reveal who these guys are in our eyes, as it would affect posting activity of future months...
But also, we don' t want the emphasis here to become purely about the free games, to the point that it overshadows the disciussion and fun itself. While the free games offer is a great way to get people interested and taking part at Kikizo, we think it should remain a fun and exciting side story to the real point of the forums, the topics - and the users themselves.
As always however, we can assure all users that " community spirit" and (if you wanna call it) a big effort in one month does not go unnoticed when it comes to deciding upon a winner in the next.
Also, having said all that, it is possible we may have a bonus month at some point later this year where there will be multiple winners, as more and more great new users come to the Kikizo Forums. Perhaps at Christmas or something. But for now there can only be one winner each month!
Most Posts Approaching our second " half-year" running this promotion, this might be a good time to have a little look at
the most active users to date, as a small point of interest:

Avatars Don' t forget, there are lots of new avatars to choose from and although the upload feature is broken at present, we can upload your custom avatars for you if you like.
See here for details. Plus (hint, hint) having an avatar does make it a lot easier to identify everyone - like when chooseing game winners, for example... ;-)
Close Call... This time not a reference to choosing the winners... but to nearly losing the entire forum data since August 2003 - when this place was quite different indeed. (
Details on this story here). They say you don' t know what you have till it' s gone, right? Well for a moment there when we tuly thought the last year had vanished forever, we think that' s true of the Kikizo Forums - and with your continued support, participation, and spreading of the good word, we think the best is yet to come!
Would both winners please PM me with: their chosen game, format, region, full name and postal address.
