At leats when EA buys earth they just have to rid a few letters. Anyways EA and Valve (Half-Life) have entered a multi-year agreement. The first batch of games to be published under EA are Half-Life 2:Game of the Year Edition, CounterStrike:Source, and the Xbox version of Half-Life 2.
Maybe its good news maybe its bad...maybe it doesnt even really matter.

I have no problem with EA whatsoever and have no problem in saying that I like a lot of their games. I think they' re an unfairly berated company, myself.

I like EA too exept for the fact that the EA obtained exclusive rights to the NFL. Madden sucks compared to the NFL 2K series(well at least to me).

I' m wondering when EA is going to grab the exclusive rights to FMV, or perhaps exclusive rights to having audio in a game.

EA is not about the games like some game companies. EA is about the money. They aren' t going to delay a game to make it better, they are going to fix what they have to to make it playable and launch it so they can make money. Think what HL2 would have been like if it came out a year earlier? My biggest fear is EA buying Ubisoft. They have so many awesome games and always manage to imporove upon them in sequals. EA would wip out sequal after sequal with no improvements, ruining many awesome franchises.

I find it disturbing that Microsoft was sued for taking advantage of the little guys, but no one has said anything about EA and their monopolizing of professional sports in video games. Talk about bullies!

We should be angry at the NFL player' s association, they are the ones who let EA buy exclusive rights. EA tried to do that with the NBA but the NBA wouldn' t do it and said they wanted competition so there are better games. MLB also sold out like the NFL did.

i dont think they would rush i mean look at what they do to madden they make improvements every year. look at sims 2 they made hell of alot of improvements. also with NFSU2 u can freely roam instead of first one. look at nfl street and nba street they made improvements without rushing.the Battlefield series they are kickin ass except the new patch 1.01 for battlefield 2. i could go on and on about how ea tries to improve every game and is successful almost every time.
