lol, yep, BUT Dural is only picked under the category of Fighting game bosses. In general though, I love enormous screen-filling bosses.. Forgotten Worlds had one that took up several screens.

The Boss from SIN, Alexsis' s father, was a real cool huge boss. Also ill never forget my first encounter with Cyberdemon, the thumb thumb sounds coming from its walk was soooo scary back when i played Doom the first time, i think i almost crapped my pants when i got killed by the first rocket Somehow they screwed it up in Doom 3, i dont even remember killing it there

Dr Eggman in the older Sonic games was always a force to be reckoned with. I' ll try and find some pictures but as the games went on there became more and more ' final' battles, for instance in the end of Sonic & Knuckles you had to beat four different contraptions in a row almost to get to the end of the game.

I think the most impressive (and most difficult) boss is the one at the end of Bible Adventures. Tetris also had some very intimidating bosses. Dural doesn' t count as a boss since it has absolutely no original moves of its own. It' s like the boss at the end of Soul Calibur. Steals moves from other characters. Doesn' t really even count as a character at all.

The best boss ever was definetly the giant pile of poo that sings in Conker Live and Reloaded. I was cracking up at that part.

The battle with Sephiroth wasn' t the best boss ever, but as far as Boss character developement, I would agree. Some of my favorite boss' es ever were actually from Gradius 3. I also really liked the Boss fight in Wind Waker, one of the best Boss fights ever.

Nah, Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time was a better boss than Sephiroth was. Reflecting big ol' balls of electricity with Link' s sword till you hit him, then hitting him with a Light Arrow to down him before attacking with your sword was genius. Thyen once you' ve defeated him, he destroys the castle while you' re inside it, bursts out from under the rubble and is transformed by the Tri-Force into the great pig demon Ganon and you have to fight him again!!! Ganondorf Ganon

Gradius = side scrolling shooter AS to the ganandorf vs. sephiroth thing, I don' t think you read my whole post magikdra60n, I said Sephiroth better character, Ganandorf better fight. I liked the fight in wind waker even more than ocarina or time though.

I think Ganondorf is a better character. Seph is just like all those japanese gay guys. Long white hair, black leather robe, cool animé face, long sword that wouldn' t work in real life. He' s so boring. Ganondorf is more unique. But of course Seph is cool. But boring.

Yeah, but this thread isn' t a ' who' s better' thread, it' s a ' who' s YOUR favourite boss character/what' s you' re favourite boss battle' thread. There' s no reason for people to start talking about who' s better or more powerful than everyone else because we all see thing different ways and have distinctly different tastes. I enjoyed the boss battles in Z.O.E. too, and in the 2nd Runner. I' m a huge mecha fan! Actually, if it' s Japanese i will likely love it (i know somebody is gonna bring up something twisted, so i' ll pre-empt my " except that" ). Everybody should go to Akihabara if they get chance. Oooh, what about Ninja Gaiden' s bosses?
