...Microsoft. Square Enix announced today that a new entry into the Ogre Battle franchise is in development exclusively for the Xbox 360. While Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre games have appeared on several systems including the Playstation, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Advance, this will be the first time the series will appear on a Microsoft platform. Few details have been released regarding the plot and overall design of the game save that it will follow in the footsteps of Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen, originally developed by Atlus for the Super Nintendo in 1993. Though more recent entries to the series have fallen into the category of tactical RPGs, the original game featured a battle system which combined elements of turn-based and real-time strategy games. The as yet unnamed game will be the first new game in the Ogre Battle series in more than five years. Further details are to be announced later this month. LINK Great, so now can we get a game that we actually care about?!
