PS2-TV help.
-
Aug 13, 2007 04:18
Hey guys! I was just wondering what kind of TV I would need to make my PS2 and PS1 look good. Would it be an old style CRT with a powerful De-scaler? Thanks.

get yourself a Hdtv, you only need an sdtv when your going back to 2d games really, as they appear blocky and unplayable to an extent. I am sure Joe will fill you in.

Dunno about that silent, ive been playing my DC on my hdtv, and some of the games (3d) looks very horrible, while some still look decent. I' d say a crt is best, keep it native like they were designed for.

Dude why aren' t you hooking your DC up with VGA? It owns face with it. One time we played Ikaruga with the VGA hooked up on my roommate' s 32" widescreen and turned it vertical. It owned so much face.

Dude why aren' t you hooking your DC up with VGA? It owns face with it. Damn skippy. If you can find a progressive scan CRT TV (420p), that' d be your best option, if not your cheapest. They don' t make ' em too big anymore (if they still make ' em) but most department stores will have one back in the corner somwhere. Find the most tech savvy guy you see & ask him if they have one in stock.

I' m bringing my " old" pre HDTV 32 inch SD television to my appartmen, just for the use of playing old games. Why? Because I think old games look like crap on HDTV' s. While the Ps3 upscaler does make things better, playing an N64 video games is near impossible I tell ya!

We play alot of older games on our HDTV projector and they all look great. We play mostly Nintendo 64 stuff, especially WWF No Mercy and it looks great...
