Short answer....... Taaaank Long answer........ If it plays PC games straight off the shelf on your TV, THEN it stands a chance of selling a couple more systems. But given the complexity of some PC games (patches to fix bugs and such), that probably won' t be as easy as it sounds. But unless the console can deliver PC games straight off the shelf and on your TV, it' s going to >see short answer< Because your typical console developer has zero reason to support the Phantom, and PC developers probably aren' t going to risk losing a few million PC ready customers just to develop for the Phantom. It' s really a no win situation for this thing. Cool if it came out, but much like the N-Gage, it' s going to >see short answer<

True answer. = It' s a Scam. The maker is an investment scam artist. There isn' t really going to be a phantom console. He' s just trying to take in money by feeding on the market' s gaming hype.

The whole GUI reminds me of Xbox. I think its a scam. If it isnt, it has the poorest marketing strategy ever!

Can it run the original 1980s Pac-Man without slowing down?

I think the Phantom is Bad Comedy. I thought the NGage was fake when I first heard of it. But at least I held one in my hands!

The Phantom is not a scam as this person said. But it is a scam. It' s a Nazi experiment to see how gulible American children and parents are. Or it could be the CIA' s new project to see how gay it can make something. " Tonight on CBS: Queer government for the straight country"

Here' s a three page article on the Phantom: http://www.1up.com/article2/0,2053,1489500,00.asp It' s definetly not for the everyday gamer. When it was first announced wasn' t Infinium Labs gearing it towards console gamers to give them a new experience (PC games). The article I gave the link to says you' re going to have to upgrade the thing all the time and it will cost you some serious cash... I don' t know about you but I don' t think console gamers are going to like that. This thing will be a flop almost definetly.

It seems that as of right now there is no Infinium lab offices of base of operations according to one site. Infinium labs is sueing them for saying that though... but I have yet to see Infinium labs aswell...

Still the question remains, can it run the original 1980s Pac-Man without slowing down? ;)

coughFAILcough. When it comes out it' ll be competing against XBOX2, PS3, N5, and also the other new consoles. (the APEX console and the DISCover, both of which offer the same thing, only you don' t subscribe to anything. You just need the console, internet, and the game you want to play.)

The fact is that a Typical game varies between 1.5 GB - 4.7 GB and to download this much daa on a standard 512Kbps Broadband connection would take 7 hours minimum, it' s crazy, would you wait that long to download a game. All the outputs on the phantom, component, optical, well the machine and games must take advantage of them, ,I mean a Dolby Digital soundtrack can be a few hundred MB' s in size, further adding to the size of the game so how big would the game really big, and how long would you wait..?????...the machine would never made it to market....
