New shots of PS3 hardware.

Those shots reveal a bit about the system - it supports next gen Dolby digital (DD True HD) and DTS.That' s nice considering that some HD DVD and Blue Ray players on the market don' t support them. Here are the photos: http://media.ps3.ign.com/articles/727/727857/imgs_1.aspx It seems like self loading drives are the next step for electronics -it looks very cool. Hmm a really big AC input (looks like a typical PC AC input) - another powerbrick possible? It is pretty huge...

The shots make it look really nice, desirable. I want one!! another powerbrick possible? It' s supposed to have an internal PSU no bulk out of the box.

Nice close up. As we can see they fixed the ventilation for the ps3. Many holes now.

ORIGINAL: Silentbomber I dont care if the has 10 million vent holes, as long as it runs quiet.. Lol they are either some tiny vent or that ps3 is gonna fill a room! I' d rather a little bit of noise of the total loss of a room.

lol so thats why its so big and with so many air vents... so we can place our pet inside and it may get imported into a virtual world?! It' s the perfect size for my pet Stegasaurus! I agree with Silentbomber, making more space is easy, but quieting consoles down gets a little hard. where I' ve got my 360 now, the ventiliation isn' t all that amazing so i picked up an intercooler, the thing keeps the 360 nice and cool, but it sounds like a Boeing 747 when you first hear it. Needless to say, my 360' s going to be moved fairly far away from my TV.

This really isnt gonna bode well with the Capsule Hotel industry in Japan...Why pay 30-40 a night when you can pay a onetime fee and have a portable one of your own! Sony I swear just trying to get their hand in everything.

Well since more bulk in a console usually means more power, if we take into account that removing the drives from both machines and then removing the PS2 board from PS3 as well as the wireless and HDMI ports etc, that' d leave 360 bigger than PS3. After all the non-processor and GPU tech is put into PS3, just how much room is there for blindingly fast kit?!
