That looks jaw-dropping! I just wish ATi would hurry up and release some dx10 cards for my next PC!

I just hope the game doesn' t just end up a tech showcase. Alien invasion, one man saves the planet...where have I heard that one before, heh.

Have you read some of the stuff recent about stalker? I really wanted that game back in 2003, but now it seems a bit dodgy.

I would' ve posted the link to some of Oleg' s comments but the gsc forum is down.. He was saying how they had fixed so many gameplay problems (hence the delay) and that they could' ve written a book on how not to write a game. I dunno if that' s reassuring or worrying!

Hmm, well I' m not waiting to build my rig and I' m sure as hell not about to buy a new videocard in just a few months. I' ll probably jump on the Windows Vista bandwagon late 2007. I' m sure a EVGA 7900gt ss or 7900gtx will serve me well until then. With AMD doing a massive price drop July 24th on all except FX CPUs, this summer will be a perfect time to build my AM2 system.

is it really worth a few thousand to buy a top of the range pc, just to run it nicely for another fps. Yeah It looks good, and some nice features, but fry cry really let me down, not bad, just an average shooter with nice visuals.

I would never spend more on gaming hardware for one game. I' m planning on spending less then 2500$ cnd for my new computer including monitor, taxes and shipping. This will actually be my first computer which I need for college as well. I' m sick of using the family computer, sharing is a bitch.

I' m a pretty hardcore gamer but I' m not crazy either, I' m not about to spend my entire life savings on a toy that will be outdated in two years.

and completely portable

Don' t get me started on gaming laptops - a double edged sword If ever there were one!

I' ve got a 7900GTX 512mb Sli in my work machine, but by the time this comes out It should still hopeully be up to the job!!

As for far cry, I have issues with the aiming & sight on the 360 version. 2 years ago Farcry was breathtaking on PC and the Crytek engine which was the prerunner for htat looked stunning in its day too.

Provided they don' t mess around wiht the console playability too much I' d consider both, but this for me is a PC title born and bread. Worth it because it drags (showcases) visuals to a whole new level. (in the name of research etc!)

7900 GTX 512mb SLi. That' s like the best graphics card I' ve heard of and it still might not be able to play Crysis? But the 360 will?
Man, I hate PC' s. The eternal upgrading.
During a consoles life you' ll have to upgrade graphics card several times to keep up and in the end all you' ll get is FPS/RTS games with great graphics.
A 360 may sound expensive but compared to the top graphic cards you' ll have to pay for, it' s not.
I love consoles and I hope every single PC game are made for consoles in the future. I hope the 360 and the PS3 will get mouse n' keyboard setup for all FPS games.

I took it back because of that. It just didn' t feel right at all. The aiming controls were WAY off!
