I loved Titanic actually, saw it three times in the theatre [laughs]. Matrix was a great movie, a little over-hyped though, I agree. Star Wars has been decent, although Ive missed the last few. I believe Triple X was overrated, but don' t get me wrong, it was still good. My Big Fat Greek Wedding left me a little uneasy as well, it' s another production that had people speechless - although being rather funny, I found the hype shot it down a bit. Oh, and The Bourne Identity had tons of un-used potential too. That' s my two cents...

My most overrated movie has to be X-MEN .. i will not be wasting 6 good english pounds to watch the 2nd part ..

I' ll add Memento and Spiderman to the mix.

How dare you talk bad about Memento? I loved that film and how it was implemented.

But my all time hate object is and will always remain:
Independence Day; I did not know if I should laugh or cry.

I liked it, but it' s not half as great as people claim. The replay value is 0.

I love Momento too - and i agree that there' s pretty much zero replay value to the film... not even the minutest desire to play it again to ' see the clues' again compared to films like The Sixth Sense for instance. But definitely a film i would recommend. =) And you' re right... what a superb execution of analogy between Guy Pearce' s amnesia and the presentation of the narrative!!!

The most over-rated film must be Pulp Fiction! Tarantino' s best film is The Resevoir Dogs i think.

Here' s a question... does Citizen Kane still deserve to the critics choice for bext film ever made, still???!!!

Resevoir Dogs goes up on my list...I don' t think much of Tarantino, and thought VERY little of the movie. I have no idea why everyone loves it so much. I must unfortunately add the Star Wars movies as well. Good, but not the messiah of movies as some people claim.

Definitely Hannibal. It was completely lame and added nothing to the things Silence of the Lambs created.
I' m just glad Red Dragon was a really good movie.

I don' t really think any of the Star Wars were hyped to be the greatest movie of all-time. They were just hyped as being the next Star Wars, and the diehard fans took it from there. I think we all know that the new Star Wars are not great films, but they' re still Star Wars and worth watching just for that fact.

How dare you slander Resevoir Dogs. Fathoms, so who do you consider a good director?

" Citizen Kane" is brilliant. I think it still deserves the crown.


Most overrated though? I' d have to go with Armageddon...... a 2 hour lame-ass Aerosmith video. ....and I hate Afflek

Matrix is easily the most over-rated movie. I can definitely see how it was originally a video game treatment - all graphics, plot with big holes and weak execution. It could have been great, but I walked out and shrugged my shoulders.

I haven' t even seen Titanic.

And I agree with BigRed, as Hannibal was a snore-fest. Just cheap gimmics making a mockery of Silence of the Lambs. A waste of talent and my time.

drew: Then you missed a great ending...the ending is what made the movie. Not a fantastic movie, but definitely worth watching for that climax, IMO.

I' m too analytical. Had " The Others" twist pegged 15 minutes in....still enjoyed watching it though.

Titanic was the biggest load of crap ever! It was so much crap the real Titanic would sink trying to accomadate it! It was absolute TRASH! Crappy crap crap! I hated it! One of my most dispised movies ever. Pure sh*t! Sorry to rant but it was terrible!

I loved the Matrix and can' t wait for the sequal. How can you guys not like it?

I know it sounds a bit gay but I actually enjoyed Titanic and in reference to Drews original post I have the posters for all of the films he hates framed on my living room wall. Oh well...
