yes, you read it right, that is the name for the xbox 2, leaked out by an offical who works on the project. It may have something to do with the shape of the console being in a 360 degree circle, possibley for complants that the old x-box was first mistaken for a house.

This can only mean good news, Petroglyph is become the new westwood, they are currently working on a Star Wars Rts which from previews i have read looks to be good. Now if they where somehow to get the c&c lienece of EA, my dreams would come true..

Nintendo GameCube = 5. Nintendo Revolution = 7! So what the hell.
People will probably just call it EITHER 360 or just plain old Xbox after a while.

But nobody says " Nintendo Gamecube" . They just say " Gamecube" . I wonder if the Xbox 360 will just be referred to as the " 360" . I sure hope so. I know the reason for the name is to get a " 3" in there so it doesn' t look like the Playstation " 3" is more powerful than the Xbox " 2" to the average dumbass. I guess I just prefer the simplicity of " Xenon" . I don' t think " Xbox" should be a brand name like " Playstation" is. When I think " Xbox" I think big and green. First of all this gossip has been public knowledge for some time. Engadget ran a story that their contact had confirmed that Xbox 360 was the final name. Spong also ran a confirmation piece last week. This was based on a market research thing that their reliable source attended. I know it wasn' t bullshit as that source is a pal of mine.
