Well thought i' d update you on this urgent info.

X box 360:
yes, you read it right, that is the name for the xbox 2, leaked out by an offical who works on the project. It may have something to do with the shape of the console being in a 360 degree circle, possibley for complants that the old x-box was first mistaken for a house.

Former Devolper of Westwood [command and conquer] has left EA:
Adam Isgreen, former lead designer on Red Alert, Tiberian Sun and Firestorm, has decided to join up with Petroglyph, a company founded by some other former Westwood employees. This can only mean good news, Petroglyph is become the new westwood, they are currently working on a Star Wars Rts which from previews i have read looks to be good. Now if they where somehow to get the c&c lienece of EA, my dreams would come true..

New Psx Models
Sony is not letting the old psx die down, now realseing two new models DESR-5700 and DESR-7700, which are more than ever aimed the connectivety with the psp, transerfering movies etc.

Xbox 360 doesn' t exactly roll of the tongue like Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube do. If that is the true real name, it is freakin' retarded. Xenon is MUCH better.

Xbox 360 has grown on me a lot since the name started doing the rounds a couple of months ago. From what I hear from industry pals I am pretty sure it will be the final name. ;-)

Besides, Xbox 360 (three sixty) = 5 syllables.
Nintendo GameCube = 5. Nintendo Revolution = 7! So what the hell.
People will probably just call it EITHER 360 or just plain old Xbox after a while.

But nobody says " Nintendo Gamecube" . They just say " Gamecube" . I wonder if the Xbox 360 will just be referred to as the " 360" . I sure hope so. I know the reason for the name is to get a " 3" in there so it doesn' t look like the Playstation " 3" is more powerful than the Xbox " 2" to the average dumbass. I guess I just prefer the simplicity of " Xenon" . I don' t think " Xbox" should be a brand name like " Playstation" is. When I think " Xbox" I think big and green. When I think " Xenon" , I think about changing mega-expensive xenon bulbs that can blow my face off when I worked as a cinema projectionist. Much more cool!

well in that case it' d be:

Microsoft Xbox 360 which is 8 syllables....

and Sony PlayStation 3 is 6...

so Nintendo Revolution is 7...

i dont particularly like 360, but its decent enough, its not like i am going to buy in the near future anyway. [anyway 360 is close to the 3DO, and we all know what happened their...].

First of all this gossip has been public knowledge for some time. Engadget ran a story that their contact had confirmed that Xbox 360 was the final name. Spong also ran a confirmation piece last week. This was based on a market research thing that their reliable source attended. I know it wasn' t bullshit as that source is a pal of mine.

Well I did an unofficial poll consisting of 24 people asking them which name they' d prefer for the next Microsoft console. Here are the results:

Xenon - 12

That' s right, nobody aproves of " Xbox 360" because it is so silly.

It is definitely bad. The only reason it stays in my mind is because of how aesthetically unpleasing it is, both in written and spoken form. Xenon trounces it. This cannot be argued with!

In the April issue of the Official Xbox Magazine, they are calling it " Xbox Next" ; however, that is not official - they don' t like " xbox 2" or " xbox360" . Me? I couldn' t care less because I' ll just call it " the xbox" anyways.

They also stated that Perfect Dark Zero will be the " new Halo" for the Xbox Next launch.
