Incase your not too interested in Naruto (and thus didn' t read the thread) i got a 360 on Thursday.

But I need help.

I have connected my 360 via cable (stupid not including wireless 360) to my Netgear WL router. my PC is connected via wireless.
I have tried to connect my 360 to pc to get images etc however while i' ve set up media player to allow the 360 the 360 cannot see the PC.

I have tried restarted the WMC service
Tried rebooting both,
Turned off my firewall

and yet my 360 can' t see my PC.. can anyone give me any help - i' m feeling extremely stupid right now...

first i think you should have media center , then after setting up your 360, one of the last settings gives you a number, pick that number and type it on your pc when configuring your media center (the location where you type that number shows up automaticaly once you configured your 360, JUST LEAVE THE MEDIA CENTER OPEN)

after typing this number, your pc should then recognise your 360 and vice versa and you can stream content.

i tried it but it works like ass i don' t know why..

sorry umai i know this might not be helping you but that' s the best i can think of... or may be something that has to do with ports and filters in your router. just be sure you have media center

I was under the impression reading on the 360 dashboard and on live support faq you just need wmp doesn' t mention media center...

With standard XP can i get media center

well then i' m not sure anymore of anything , but i always hear (connectivity pc - 360 = windows media center )

get windows media center then , i' ve never seen a seperate package of media center , but technicaly it' s possible it' s just a software after all, so may be you can download it for a certain fee on microsoft website.

do you have your ps3 hooked up for media shareing?

Thanks unlucky - I think it might be the ports on my router, was gonna try it last night but i was being too lazy. I' ll go through that link (at work this weekend 7-78 and 7:30-7:30) when i get some time and hopefully get it all working.

I hvn' t set it up but my best man uses media centre and loves it.

I don' t have media center and hooked up it up just fine, jus make sure your have the connection set up to share your internet connection with other devices on the network.

So far as i am aware it is... I haven' t got around to ensuring the ports are opened on my router yet though, so I' ll give it a go probably after work on monday
