That' s my point. Quake III Arena has never been surpassed, on any format. Resistance is mediocre at best and extremely underwhelming on many levels. It has it' s moments though, and it has fantastically detailed enemy models, ...but both the online and off are nowhere near as good as many reviews make out and it' s definitely not a " killer app" .

The best game available on PS3 is MotorStorm, closely followed by Virtua Fighter 5.

About 1300 - 1500 US Bucks PS3 with 4 pads 3 games 1 headset. Gamestop repleacement plan ( Just in case ).

That doesn' t seem to add up, but whatever, as long as you' re happy with it.

Lame fanboy comments aside, I' ve come to the conclusion that gaming is f****** expensive! I don' t spend nearly that much at launch... although... I do expect an underwhelming first couple weeks with my new console untill I can get more than one awesome game.

As for MS/ R:FOM online... well resistance is ok, i played some good games online that made me love it, whilst others i thought, there is little point. Single player is solid though and decent enough.

MS on the other hand, the online set up is a bit annoying, if you dont know the tracks its hard to know what vehicles are better suited (i' ve not played it a great deal yet). on resistance i have had a number of games time out and not connect stuck on waiting for players. resistance has always been perfect.

It would be good to get a some gaming going with a group of us from kikizo

Yeah it would be cool to get a group of us playing motorstrom in our own private games. We just need to numbers now. I guess in a few months we will get a few more ps3 kikizo' ers. Hopefully. The figure right now stands at about 5. Thats too low, we need more!

I have to say, Motorstorm online is great craic, I had the best game yesterday, It was so good damn fun. Hitting people off their bikes and send them crashing into somebody else. Stuff like that. Alltough I have run into a few bugs online, aka, games not starting even with everybody loaded up, Others peoples name tags stuck over my car for the entire race, a small bit of lag in some servers. And people and connecting. I guess these could easily be fixed with a patch. The online was rushed I guess.

I dont play resistance as much online, But yeah, its easy to jump right into. Unlike Ms where you have to wait untill a race finshs untill you can race. Which is a small pain.

But other than that, great online!

The main reason probably being that he made two " Fuck PS3" threads in under two weeks. Add the fact that he said " fuck ps3" in almost any thread that had to do with them and you get someone who adds nothing to the forum and deserves a ban. He was the epitomy of idiot fanboys. They hate the other consoles, but have no reasons as to why, and get angry at others who don' t agree with them.

Id have to agree, because there arent 15 good games on 360(Dead Rising, GRAW2, R6 Vegas, Gears, Lost Planet, Guitar Hero 2, thats seriously all I can think of right now). Out of curiosity, what were they?

Now that places are dropping the price of the PS3 it looks like people might start to get interested in it again. It' s stupid places are selling it for 1p under £400 and they think it' s a bargain, I am going to wait till it drops another £50 or so.

That' s a bit harsh there must be more than 15 good games on the 360, your forgetting: Pro evo 6,TDU,oblivion,Star wars lego,crackdown,FN3,Viva,CoD3 (Online),Saints row, table tennis,Viruta Tennis 3, there you go more than 15(just)

I got the casino royale dvd too, funny though i signed up ages ago on the pc, i think just after the americas got the ps3. and i still got the e-mail... woohoo :D

Dont count on it being delievred soon, these things usually take ages to post.

For me it boils down to whether games start to appear that can' t be done on the 360. If the PS3 is going to mainly get games that are designed with the 360 in mind then it' s just too expensive and a bit pointless when I already own a 360 and Wii.

It' s a shame because it looks like a superior piece of kit than the 360.
