I know I probably seem to assrape Nintendo on these forums, but I can' t stand the fact that fanboys don' t seem to know what " opinion" or " free will" means. I especially hate it when they spontaneously start coming out with all these stupid insults just because we don' t agree with them or approve of their mindless opinion bashing and console/game/whatever bringing down. That sort of thing really pisses me off, and it' s the kind of thing I have to deal with on various other threads too. I mean, why the hell can' t everyone just respect others' views and stuff? That' s just bullsh!t!

I would normally wouldnt mind but IF i mention halo i will be hated, so its best to stick to halo 2.

The only thing that lets halo down is it dosent have LOCKOUT, mY 360 ONLY knows lockout.

I agree with sony people though, that to say one game looks great, or a perticular consoles games look good then the fanboy label is thrown on them so fast it' s unbelievable.

Besides when were any of us given the right to judge people and try to make ourselves or our points superior and them/theirs inferior by labelling a fanboy because they honestly prefer something over something else.
Yeah, it is very annoying when a member expresses hate for a console because of the name on the box, and has nothing but bad stuff to say and complain about.

Majik is right to block these people, while i don' t think fanboys, i think instead ignorant, and unfortunate. It is these so called ' Gamers' that will lose out on some of the more memorable titles in history because they can' t see past a brand name.

I try to be objective, and I don' t remember the last time I' ve called someone a fanboy. It' s a dumb word, and really doesn' t do much but start flame wars.

But I' m going to decrease my posting here. I' m tired of the constant battles here. I have nothing against fanboys, but I hate the conflicts they create.
I don' t care if someone likes Microsoft to no end and hates the other companies. It' s when that person starts to mess with the people who likes other companies that I give up.
And lots of people here seems to like fighting about which company is best instead of just enjoying talking about videogames in general.
Also, most of the popular topics here are about the 360 and I don' t care about that stuff right now.
Does anyone here know any forum where people who like the Saturn, DC, GCN, PS2 and PSP can have a great time? It' s obviously not here.

I fully agree,i never had a problem with people who never see the light except from their own fav console,its when they have to attack other peopel choices and don' t give up,that they become " fanboys" ,i really hate those.

I remember being in elementary school and arguing about whether the Atari 2600 was better because it had more games, or the Intellivision was better because it had better graphics.

Fanboyism is not a new problem and it' s never going to stop completely! Frankly, people enjoy it. Plus, for people who can' t afford every single system, no one wants to feel like they spent their hard-earned money on a mistake.

I just don' t understand it when it devolves into rabid support for a particular corporation. Most sports fans with some ability to critically analyze the situation realize that eventually, as players and coaching staff changes over the years, they are only really cheering for the uniforms. At least with sports teams they represent some sort of geographical region. Corporations are freely moving entities that don' t even rely on the same people to continue working for them... Sony, Nintendo and MS would relocate to any other part of the world if the trade laws freed it up and would increase their profits. So even nationalism makes no sense in the context of fanboyism.

I just hope that once all three next-gen systems are out, the threads on here will get back to focusing on games instead of tech specs!

You should start your own threads on these topics. I love the Dreamcast, and was always interested in the Saturn even though I didn' t get one. Actually I still think about getting one from time to time.

Actually things have gotten better here these past two weeks, since Anita, and Emotep stopped showing the ugly mugs.

These discussions are just speed bumps. Yeah it is annoying when people start flying around curse words and telling everyone their an idiot, but hey most of us are idiots at some point.

Agreed VX, I think hating Fanboys itself is a fanboy move. Just because I' m a Sega Fanboy doesn' t mean I hate the other consoles, I generally like them all equally...I do have a hate for Sony, but that is due to the fact I am a Sega Fanboy...but if you read in the Motorstorm thread I don' t hate Sony' s game. Heck I owned a PS1/2 I' ll get a PS3, just not in the next year.

FACT: PS3 > 360.

The problem with you guys is that you can not accept reality, so there will always be fanboyism going on here until you wake up and see the real world through your own eyes.

Now I will accept you saying that you like 360 games better, or whatever. But denying PS3' s superiority considering what you get for $500 is asinine and plain faboyism. If you cannot accept PS3' s technical, development support & price superiority your opinion can' t be taken seriously and you' re just a fanboy.

That' s a very true thing. Personally, I always thought that getting my current Xbox was a mistake, but it came free, and my folks wouldn' t get me a second console. But I realised that somehow, Panzer Dragoon Orta made it all worthwhile

The good news? Fanboys tend to lose steam after a couple of posts, especially against multi-user opposition (having just 2 or 3 blamming them back is like Viagra though). Best is to ignore ' em *blocks*.
