LOL, all new VGA cables are capable of 1080p. Period. Dont give us anymore shit about " its not certified" .

Xbox 360 VGA cables aren' t new.

Also, on page 4 of the operating manual, safety tip #11 reads...

" Only use attachments and accessories recommended by the manufacturer" .

The Xbox 360 is not an accessory recommended by the manufacturer.

This guy has to read manuals to operate a TV, lmao. That explains how clueless he is.

Your article says the TV can display at 1080p with the exact same type of VGA Cable X360 has, it supports X360 fully, get over it.

...well... ....to be fair, i guess this whole Emo thing is a reaction to a lot of the negative propaganda various members at kikizo like to post about Sony....

....that does not justify behaving like an obnoxious moron of course, but i see the reasoning......

...if you keep calling someone names, they are likely to start calling you names back.....

...don' t you think?...

Oh no, someone that lives far away from me might call me a bad name on the internet What am i ever to do?

Yup, because Wii can output 480p, the TV' s internal scaler does a great job of upscaling to 1080p. No deinterlacing is required.

You sure know nothing about HDTVs.

But... but... 480p looks bad on the 1080p XBRs!

Even 480i upscaled and deinterlaced to 1080p looks amazing on the Bravia XBR 2/3 series.

Don' t worry, perhaps one day you will be able to afford a 1080p HDTV and you can join the rest of us over at www.avsforum.com

Joe: Because the Nintendo Wii can already output 480p, the Television doesn' t have to deinterlace the video signal when it upscales it as 1080p. If the Wii was only capable of 480i, it would have to deinterlace it, as well as upscale.

What this means is the TV doesn' t have to do as much processing when displaying the image. Not only does this result in a better image displayed, but it also results in less video processing lag.

I' m pretty sure I know all that. But just because something doesn' t have to be deinterlaced doesn' t mean that it will look fantastic after scaling.

That' s why I posted those pics of Zelda from the Gamecube that I found at AVS. The XBR does a great job of making 480p look great upscaled.

I also took some pics of Metal Gear Solid 3 and Xenosaga 3 from my Playstation2 on my XBR2. As you can see, the image quality is still great, even though it has been upscaled AND deinterlaced. (Those 2 games are only capable of 480i)

Nah, it looks jagged and blurried.

Find some better pics off the internet to claim as your own, and I might be impressed.

Such low resolution compressed photographs are really hard to show stuff off with. People like that Queasy dude says stuff like " Look how great Blue Dragon looks in 720p" when it is just a small picture of the game running on a TV with probably only 400-500 pixels of resolution high. The best way would be to pause the game so there is no movement going on, take the picture and post a giant TIFF that you extracted from the original RAW image file.

That is because the PS2 doesn' t have anti-aliasing. You sure know nothing.

Don' t worry. I' m happily enjoying my 46 inch XBR2 while you continue to stare at your " phantom" 1080p set.

But here' s a very special picture, just for you Evil Man.

I dont think my digital camera can take pictures in TIFF format...

Anyways, the only 480p game I own for the PS2 is God of War.

I have a PS2 game that runs in 1080i. Gran TURDismo 4. Looks like ass in any and all modes, but it was interesting that they got 1080i out of that thing.

Like ass.

Here are a couple of crappy pictures from my TV. Sorry about the moire but that happens sometimes when taking pictures of TV images (which is really a delicate art on CRTs).

Just the menu selection here. The game switches back and forth between 1080i and 480i. 1080i is used only for the races. I think the game will stay in 480p the whole time, though... not sure, don' t care.

Again, sorry about the moire (the rainbow stripes... they' re not really in the image). Also sorry about the lens' barrel distortion. But you can see that it is still very jagged and whatnot.

What does? Be specific.

Also there is no reason for my TV to scale 1080i to 1080i.
