RE: 720p vs. 1080i

No it doesn' t, he has an interlaced CRT. Interlaced = No thanks. The only good CRTs are computer monitors and they dont make them in large sizes, there is no good CRT HDTV theyre all interlaced. If you wanna watch TV without fucking squinting at a tiny screen get an LCD or DLP theyre the best TVs right now. DLP if you have the space, LCD if you dont. I' m strongly considering returning my 40" 1080p westinghouse LCD for a 1080p 62" Samsung DLP, but I dont like how DLPs look in lit rooms, I like LCDs because your room can be very lit and it still looks good... my living room has way too many fucking windows and I dont like the idea of going around closing 8 window shutters everytime I wanna use the TV.

If people are actually arguing over screen resolution...right there is a hint that they are close enough so that the difference doesn' t matter.

720p converted to 1080i using a 1080i deflection yolke (no artificial, digital processing) looks nicer on a good CRT than 720p on a LCD or Plasma, and 1080i being fed to a the same CRT. The deflection yolke produces a more stable image, one which looks more like 720p progressive than 1080i. Of course not every HD CRT uses this method, but on the ones that do it blows away every flat panel I' ve seen. More natural colours/image quality, no ghosting etc. You could argue that the sharpness and detail isn' t as striking, but then again it looks more natural overall. 480p in a Great CRT also holds it' s own against current flat pannels. SED is the only pannel tech that will be able to produce CRT quality (without and geom issues that poor sets have) at 1080p, as it works on much the same way just without being multi-sync. Personally I say go for a good HD CRT which has a 1080i deflection yolke for 720p, and which also does great 480p naitively (CRT HD can do 480p/1080i native). I would avoid pannels due to them digitally processing everything, whereas with CRT' s any processing can be switched off via the service menu.

Your 4:3 LCD is no good either. You guys just aren' t qualified to make judgement on display technology when you own garbage.

My $2000 CRT (a Sony) is the best reviewed HDTV ever released on the market. Now go back to your sodomy you incest lover! PS - If you' re gonna talk smack, back it up with facts. Can you provide them? No, of course you can' t. Agent Ghost is right. All of this talk is WAAAAY over your head. Try and prove us wrong. Bet ya $100 that you can' t.

The best reviewed CRT on the market goes for aprox $5,400 and is discontinued (because 300lbs 1080i TVs suck and no one buys that shit). Nice try buddy. Again, enjoy your $300 Sanyo CRT you got on sale at walmart. But don' t come in here acting like you know what you' re talking about.

What is the model of this 300pound 1080i TV? I doubt a TV that sucks would be well reviewed. I could take a picture of my TV for you, but you still wouldn' t believe it because you are too busy licking your mom' s leaky snatch. In fact there are pictures of you and your mom on the internet having incest sex. I can tell it' s you because the guy looks like he has an IQ of 6. And you still have not been able to provide a counter argument to Kyo' s facts.

You ask me for proof yet your proof is mom jokes? LOL. I don' t need proof everything I say is common sense and anyone with half a brain should already know what I say is true.

Evil Man, you have no idea what brand of TV I have, yet you assume it' s a Sanyo. Why wouldn' t I have a Daewoo or something like that? Listen, Kyo presented some pretty good facts that you cannot dispute. If they can be disputed with common knowledge, then do it and show us how dumb we all are compared to you. You can' t do it. I doubt you even know what half the terms in Kyo' s post mean. The reason I resorted to mom jokes is because that' s basically what you do. I thought I' d give you a taste of your own medicine and respond with nonsense. You come on and call me a " sodomite" for no reason whatsoever. You say I am not qualified, yet you have no idea of my qualifications at all. What are your qualifications? I doubt that you have even graduated high school. You have the mentality and intelligence of a 13 year old. I' d really love for you to prove me wrong, but I know you can' t. You' ll probably just call me names and call me unqualified and leave it at that. This is why absolutely nobody on this forum takes you seriously in anything that you say. If you can back up your posts with facts and talk like an adult, then perhaps you may eventually earn some respect. So far you have earned no respect from anyone. You didn' t even answer my question about the 300 pound TV.

Majik - Yes. I shoot and edit in HD. Commercials. Ones that air nationally. ginjirou - Of course I did, but you have to be able to read to decipher that information! I could have typed Lockheed Martin and he' d still default to Sanyo.
