Any issues people ahve had with the thing; disc' s being scratched, constant overheating, profiles being overwriten etc...

...they' ve all been the end users fault.

Majik, I' m on my second xbox after having severe problems with overheating and errors. There was plenty of ventilation for the pack at the time, it certainly wasn' t my fault. one of my friends had the same issue. I would say I was happy with how quickly MS resolved this though.

The discs get scratched when the machine is moved (say from vertical to horizontal) while turned on with a disc in the drive. It overheats if you don' t keep it ventilated, -- and profiles were overwriten when people left a disc in the drive (i NEVER leave a disc in the drive) and when turned on the game launched and auto saved before the profile had signed in.

I always leave the last game I played in the console, although I neverheard anything about profiles being overwritten before! On the other hand I' m not one for reading manuals, but surely MS should warn you to take the game out before shutting down the console? I certainly wouldn' t blame the user for that, it seems like a natural thing to do (I.e. leave the disc in so it boots up again when you turn the console on).

Very true. I played Halo 2 for waaaay too long and while it still holds up very well, games like Advanced Warfighter, CoD2 , Battlefield 2 (360 version only as it kills the PC version) and now R*' s Table Tennis are taking up all of my time playing online.

Does any1 have ANY idea why DOA4 does not have an exhibition mode where
you just play online without the games being ranked? That takes away some
of it' s playability as I can' t stand to keep playing my best at the game, sometimes
I wanna be an A$$ and mess about, but because you want to keep your rank
you need to keep playing well. Is this something that was purposefully left out?
Or was it just an accident?

Ghost Recon rules, just spent like 3 hours (earlier on today) playing campaign
mode with about 12 other people.. Can' t wait for the update! Is CoD2 any good?

Ninja Gaiden is different, I don' t complain about that. But DOA should of at least
had a free match mode, one that wasn' t ranked, because it then forces everything
to be a competition. It' s odd how the japanese hate their hard games, but we
get stuff like NG and DMC coming from there. The japanese hate to die in their
games, I remember seeing something on GamerTV that said that in the japanese
versions of Tomb Raider, when Lara falls from great distances, she only loses
weapons and ammo.
