So Heavnly sword that was supposed to have 5000 enemies and running in 1080p and then was shown in e3 with 720p and 10 enemies at most was any over achivment by the ps3?

Ofc they run at alpha kit,but look at xbox360 alpha kit last year,most was the same graphic but at better fps.
Instead of 30 fps in cod2 it ran in 60- fps with finale kit.

Also, Itagaki NEVER said DoA4 used 80% of 360s power, he said he' d filled 80-90% of the disc space, and that' s only because they used shoddy compression techniques.

Oblivion proves what can be achieved and even if a game spilled over onto multiple discs, what was the greatest RPG ever made and how many discs did it fill?!

The cell chip is exciting, I think maybe Sony are getting ahead of themselves in putting it in PS3 though. The cell chip is already being used in SGI workstations but if they can' t yeild a decent crop that allows them to cheaply produce FULLY WORKING chips, then you know PS3 is a bad egg. I forget how many cell chips they were gonna have to start with last E3, but it' s gone to one, then to 7/8ths of it working, now they' ve cut another unit out so you have a single cell chip working at 3/4 it' s capacity.

While this still gives it raw processing power, it won' t be harnessed properly yet so i think the PC won' t have much to fear, hell, I think in a few years we' ll have Cell PCs.

Also,i find it funny how enchanted arms that has 50 hours main quest in their rpg and 10' s of hours sidequest,and Oblivion that has 200 hours of gameplay use 1 DVD.

Nothingm ;) but as i said,itagaki wanted to add a lot of CGI.
Which takes lots of space,and if you ask me,is just dumb to have,better to have as in HALO1,2 and now Gears of war,have everything real time cut-scenes,instead of a video.

You feel much more into the game then.
And btw,no one forced itakagi to make HD cgi,he could have used CGI,or the character models.

THe only game that really made me say wow from PS3 was MGS4,and its coming 2008.

Trust me if gears of war thats coming this year,could been delayed to 2008,and used real time cutscence then you would have seen a lot better graphic.
My point is...

Xbox360 hasn' t showed its best yet,Mass effect is the best looking game i seen so far,and thats just the first of three games.
Once the righ dev is getting used to xbox360 then you gonna see what havin a better gpu means.

Of course they do, you don' t get jolts from different levels of realism in your characters. I can understand wanting detail and maybe better control over how the character look back when PS1 and PS2 were around and not doing much of a job of graphics. But even then, there were games likes skies of arcadia which didn' t even use voices, let alone CGI cutescenes and you still had a story and characters which drew you in and brought you along for the ride.

I really think square need to decide if Final Fantasy is a movie or a game. Cuz right now they can' t seem to do much of either at the moment (in my opinion anyways).
