Doesn' t matter to me really. At work we have a professional Disc cleaning machine that can turn even the most scratched discs into their near mint conditions. I' ve yet to see a disc that it can' t restore.

Ah, the perks of working part time at a video store...

Now thats retarded, as well as all the editions, anyway people stupid enough to pay 10 extra bucks for just a fancier case deserve this kind of treatment and worse.

In the 1up " opening Halo 3" video the case they open up that came with the legendary edition had also fallen off and no doubt been scratched. If you wanna see it for yourself, check it out, it' s also funny just to see how much the fat nerdy guys love the Halo stuff.

This will be funny. Xbox.com will crash from all the people bitching. I was planning on getting the Standard edition anyways so I don' t give a shit. I just hope that this doesn' t create a shortage if retailers pull the other two version off the shelves..

Not really. They work for minor stuff but their success varies. The one we have at work is worth several hundred dollars and basically sands down the entire protective layer and then adds a new one - restoring it to a near original state.

Yup its true my halo disc was a couple of scratches on it not obvious ones but still.

Maybe it was the case or maybe it was the 5 days straight of non stop playing.

The Legendary Edition is the one with the helmet? I never really wanted that one, isn' t there a version which is a mix between the piss poor version and the LE? With the LE extras, but no useless helmet?

I am surprised they (Bungie or M$ or both) have cocked this up, I mean for a title with such attention to ruin it by making a crappy box for it is just laughable, especially considering the price of the package.

Yes they are both look the same if you put their initials so the person who created it should make it clearer. Also if either of you had read the article which told what was going on this would have been clear.
