ORIGINAL: Zoy The controls are worse than the worse game you can think of Nonsense... the controls are consistent and perfectly tight. Why don' t you man up and admit that you need help with challenging driving games? We' re here to support you in overcoming your driving deficiency, but it does no good to lash out against a solid arcade racer. Zoy I shall treat those comments with the contempt they deserve....poo to you with knobs on.

There are many other games which I can think of with far worse control. Sega Touring Car for one. 80' s arcade game music was pretty good for the most part. The music in this latest Sega Rally doesn' t come close. It' s just there.

Unless you were alive in the 80' s you cannot say that 80' s music was good or kick ass? I t was very very bad, from New Romantic, to the power ballads, the cock rock and through to the B-boy phase, it was all bad as were the fashions.

And Backstreet boyz, Britney Spears, Pussy cat dolls, and theother countless manufactured boy/girl bands are good music? We need more Prince, MJ, chaka Chan, G,N,roses, Beastie Boys, Ice T, Run DMC' s to originate over again. 80' s Rocked.

Having been a child of the 80s I can say without a doubt in my mind that I loved the music of that era WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more than what' s been shoveled our way during the 90s and beyond... Outside of Game and anime music, the next favorites on my playlists are 80s tunes

I know a few people who were barely alive in the 80s (born in 88) who adore that generation' s music, even though they were far too young to comprehend it at the time. The 90' s had some good music, but none of it was endearing. Melody and actual musical composition has almost completely disappeared to make way for rap... or " rhyming with an easily programmed computerized beat... musical talent not required" .

I think it is not the music per say, more a case of everything that went with the music, guys wearing makeup and the case of walking around with a sorrowful look on your face, it was just all so cheesey and just blurgh.

A lot of the 80' s were pretty cheesy. I do have a fondness for those styles because I like to laugh at them, but you' d never catch me wearing stuff like that. In the case of the music, for me it is about the music and not about the performers. I never got into the whole " glam-rock" thing or why it was cool for heavy-ish metal bands to wear girly make-up.

A lot of songs from the 80s had memorable melodies and on top of that I just LOVED the drum sounds of 80s Rock Ballads; thick, deep, and full of reverb. By the time the 90s came rolling around the snare drums in A LOT of songs started sounding like tin cans. A lot of times I can usually tell the difference between 80s songs and stuff done in the 90s and beyond just by the drums

And by the recording quality as well. In the early 90s, music started being mastered louder and louder, destroying dynamic range. Wave of a typical recording in the 80' s and prior. Lots of dynamic range, but quieter. Wave of a typical recording in the late 90s and beyond. Louder, but more compressed with less dynamic range. Look at all that clipping!! Apparently, the studios figured we didn' t have volume knobs and sacrificed quality as a result.

If we only count the mainstream music I can absolutely agree. 80s mainstream music had much more quality, no matter what genre. Even rap was good, back in the 80s. Today unfortunely music is polluted by numerous nu-metal bands as well as gangster rap.

there were many great songs at any time, sure old songs had a certain charm i can' t describe but even today we still have from time to time beautiful music... to whoever complain , it' s just nostalgia.

" Just" nostalgia? Nostalgia is a good thing. Nothing bad about it. But I don' t get nostalgic over bad music, so it' s not " just" nostalgia.

Personally my favorite " sound" is the production styles of the late 1960s and early 1970s, especially the drum sounds on funk and soul records from back then. But I like aspects of early 80s recordings as well. One of the members of the band Heart was commenting on how different their 70s records sounded compared to their 80s records (specifically, how much worse their 80s records sounded!) and she said that it hinged on the types of drugs that producers were taking in the different eras. In the 70s, there were more psychedelics, while in the 80s they were more into cocaine and speed.

Just been thinking about something. You know those stupid 3 short films with those chicks for Sega Revo. Well I might be going insane but doesn' t Tonya & Donya make you think about something. Just change them from places. Donya & Tonya...just switch a few letters with each other and drop a few and you get Daytona...Sega trying to give a hint???
