Me neither Gin. I hated the first one, it just seems to random! im giving it away with my GCN,. when i get a Wii (today, ih ope, cant afford any game though, so im stuck with Sports :P)

I started off on the good ole' N64 version as a litl' un, and was instantly hooked. Plus I' ve always got someone to beat (particularly my dad, we get pretty competetive at the games).

I can' t explain it. I just do. So sue me.

Aside from tight controls, fairly balanced gameplay, and the best party game ever made...just try and name a game that you can play with 4 people that even comes close to the excitement and fun of SSB.

If you don' t like fighting games you won' t like it
If you don' t like platformers you won' t like it.
If you don' t like Nintendo you sure as hell won' t like it.

You have to be a gamer to appreciate the game, it is a game that very perfectly blends a ton of licenses together and makes it fun.

That is why I like it.

Except when you play the person who owns SSB. Then you get royally owned, and get the feeling they are just toying with you. Since I don' t like SSB that much, nor did I own a GC, I never got good and therefore get bent over when I play it, largely because no other games skill translates into it that well.

I personally think people make to big a deal over this game, but I feel that way about Halo and Gears as well.

I' ve already stated on these forums that I thought Motorstorm isn' t as good as its hype.

I' ve probably been gaming for longer than you, and I bet I' ve owned more consoles, so don' t tell me how I feel about games. The fact is, the games that are currently getting the most hype are for the Wii and 360, not the ps3, and therefore I will be talking about those ones. When the ps3 gets an overhyped title coming in the next few months I will most likely be talking about how I feel its getting more credit than it is due.

I am more interested in the soundtrack than I am the game!

SSB:Melee wasn' t amazing. I' d still take the N64 version any day.

Looks as it might make for some more crazy action on screen. Everyone trying to pass the damn thing.

Interested in whatelse they have in store for items. I like the idea of Gooey Bomb. Never played any game of this series before. But I find myself looking more and more at the gamesite.

And VF5 that is indeed the most impressive line-up for a score for a videogame. Seems we' ll be getting some great epic music to go along with the battle on screen. Although I wished Sonic would be in it that way I could kick that fat plumber' s ass any time.

Guess I' ll have to wait till that olympics game.

Exactly, you just proved my point. You rate games based on the hype it has and not it' s merit. The same way that Quez is a MS fanboy and F3 is a Nintendo fanboy you' re a Sony fanboy. You prefer the PS3 which in itself does not make you a fanboy. However, you seem to get fustrated when a non PS3 title gets a lot of attention. The easiest way to spot a fanboy is when they bitch about how much hype a game gets. It' s especially annoying when you have nothing to say about a game other than " this game sold too many copies" .

I' ve been gaming since I was 5 years old and if you' re older than I am it' s a disctinct possibility that you' ve been gaming longer than I have. I doubt you' ve played more games than I have or put in more hours. Frankly it doesn' t even matter how long you' ve been gaming for or how many toys you bought. When you' re brain dead the results are the same.

You Ginjirou, played greatness. Smash Brothers should not be compared.
Smash Bros. can' t hold a Sun to it.

Did you not read my post? I said " I' ve already stated on these forums that I thought Motorstorm isn' t as good as its hype." Meaning, I bought it, played it, and don' t think its as good as the hype its got. Just like I' ve played Halo and Gears, and don' t think they are as good as the hype they were given, whilst being great games, aren' t the " amazing" games so many people try to make them out to be. One of the only games I feel lives up to its hype in the last few years is HL2.

Actually, I don' t. I played a 360 up until December, and I' ve played my friends Wii on many occasions. I plan on picking up a 360 elite once Mass Effect releases. I definitely prefer the 360 and ps3 over the wii, but I don' t prefer one to the other, besides the fact that I think MS is a bit money grubbing, but I also think Sony doesn' t listen to consumers as much as they should. Also, when in my posts did I say " this game sold too many copies" .
