poor? socialist? I don't regulate my life as a socialist anymore than I regulate my life as a nihilist. Existential Philosophy has shown me that Nihilism and determinism is the absolute truth, but I don't live my life as a Nihilist. I keep these truths seperate in a box. If I wanted to live as a nihilist I would drop on the ground and wait to starve to death. I live my life as a pragmatist and a realist. Seek pleasure and avoid pain, simple. With this in mind it's to my advantage to abuse capatalism in the same way the top 1% controls 50% of the wealth. I never said I was virtuous, but at least i understand what this means. Life itself is irrational. We have a system that tries so hard to survive and fails every time. It's so obviously not designed by intelligent life. This is why I don't need to add meaning or give reason to it. Life came before rationality. Religion is irrational and so is hope. http://allpsych.com/psychology101/defenses.aspx Hope is what the DSM refers to as "reaction forming". This is what religion is based upon. People can't accept mortality so they invent imortality. I don't need this defence mechanism, I've accepted and even enjoy the truth. I live my life in a way that insures I am the most efficient at seeking pleasure and avoiding pain. If ever i fuck up and life becomes too difficult or boring I'll kill myself. There are certain drugs that make this painless. I'll never work hard for nothing. As for supporting capitalism... Listen I'll be honest, capitalism is in my personal best interest. I like having a state of the art computer, the PS3, 360 and all this other shit I enjoy as much as anyone. I like living in Canada for all the wrong reasons. I like making more money than most people. However if I was honest I would say capitalism is a system that cannot sustain itself. It's bad for society and it's never fair. We're literally printing 90% debt. This system follows a simple pattern, boom and crash. We are in a serious recession. It's my opinion that we are seeing the beginning of the end of western civilization. If American government does not use some of the 700 billion bailout money to give a loan to the big three I believe we will fall into a deep depression. America can't afford to lose over 2 million jobs during a credit crunch. Don't you see the domino effect this would have? We're fucked and you don't even see why.

...I like how Ghost prepares and presents an argument against organized religion... no matter what the topic is about.

You know why I'm obsessed about religion? Because it's a intellectual black hole. If irrational people were spread out evenly in the world they would hold no power and be harmless. But instead they have a club where they can exchange ideas and raise money. I'm not saying that all Christians are shitty. I believe you're intelligent for the most part Eddie. You're a good person, better than I am. You care far more about the common good than I do. But you still support an irrational idea based on an irrational concept. Even if you only wish to do on to others as they would have done to you. This is not what Christianity does. The idea of living your life based on faith or the unknown is a bad concept. Even if Christianity contains good ideas. I'm saying you can be good without being irrational. When I see religious wars, to me that means someone is inefficient at seeking pleasure and avoiding pain. When I see people kill individuals because they don't have the same religious views, they are very bad at promoting pleasure and avoiding pain. The only answer is because they are irrational. Nothing promotes irrationality like religion. The morality in religion is not even rational. What I can't eat pork, fuck you! I don't need hope or a greater purpose to enjoy life or be kind to others. I certainly don't need fear of a punishment that does not exist.

And I like how Immortal doesn't know the meaning of the words he uses. It doesn't even make sense to describe private citizens in these socio economic terms. For the millionth time, the definition of socialism: A system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state. I have not ever seen anyone in these forums promote this, but he probably doesn't know the definition of "means of production" either. And regardless, by calling someone a socialist you are implying they are politically affiliated with a socialist political party, which mostly don't exist in any meaningful form in any of the countries anyone here is from. Unless you are implying I belong to some crappy insignificant party like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_Party_USA

You know why I'm obsessed about religion? I just answered yes, skipped two paragraphs, and am probably happier for it. By your logic, I'm on the right track.

Lol, butthurt fags are butthurt. We're in a recession because the market had false restrictions placed on it, not because Capitalism failed. Forcing major banks to give out loans to lower-class families that couldnt possibly pay them back caused the sub-prime mortgage market to collapse, everything else was just fallout from it. Its not our fault that the rest of the world's economies depend on us and went into a recession too. Emo, you try to keep calling me stupid, but I guarentee I scored higher on SAT's and the ASVAB than you. You're a man-child with a Napolean Complex. You can try to make your E-Penis as big as you want, youre still a failure and a butthurt troll. Nice vid of your house, btw. And where do you get that Im risking my life? Thats for people who cant score in the top 10%. I got 20K to go to Basic Training, College, then OCS (Officer Cadet School). That'll be the end of my 6 year contract, so unless theyve opened an OCS site in one of the piece of shit middle eastern countries I doubt I'll be risking anything. Care to try again?

The SAT is an entry-level test for freshmen college placement. I have a Master's Degree, I wouldn't even have to think to pass it. It's a mostly multiple-choice (lol) test for teenagers to see if they are at a college level, it is not even close to being a test for measure of intelligence like you are implying it to be, dumbass.

You dont have any of the shit you claim you do. Youre a butthurt internet troll with a Napoleon Complex. If you had any degree at all you could figure out how to use Youtube. All of your insults seem to try to make me out to be a teenager. Wow, holy shit, guess what? I am. Im 19, and still more intelligent than you and will be more sucessful than you. Have fun trying to feel big on the internet, its the only place you can do it.

I know you're a teenager, hence your immaturity and glorification of multiple choice entry level exams. I know how to use youtube, furthermore one's skill with youtube does not prove whether or not one has a degree. I've helped Lawyers, Doctors, etc. people with Ph.D's with very simple computer tasks, like email setup, they are still far more knowledgeable than I am. Because you see, it takes 5 minutes to learn how to set up an email or how to use youtube, or how to blow innocent people's heads off, in the case of your barbaric last-resort profession. It takes decades of training to be able to perform surgery. Respect your elders, you are trash. And I hope you are getting alot more than 20k and tuition into terrible schools for a 6 year contract, I thought people would serve 6 months and come back with 150K +? I guess the military really is for poor people. 20k is like a couple months of work sitting on my ass all day, you risk your life for that? lol.

Once again you ignore the fact that Im not risking my life for anything, but apparently a no deployment contract is a concept beyond you. I am in a program designed to turn people into officers. And people on ACTIVE DUTY in Iraq do get a lot more money. I get 100% tuition plus book cost, the 20K bonus, and close to $1000 a month after taxes to go to drill for 1 weekend a month. How thats a bad deal is beyond me. $972 after taxes and free college for 2 days of work a month. Thats more than you made in 2 days when you were 19, so blow me. And keep avoiding the fact that youre lying about all the things you claim to have and have accomplished. Its cute.
