I think 64.85.31.123 is better - both as a sequel and stand alone game

Seeing how i love rpg' s ofc the choice of Squaresoft was the most reasonble, however they are now square-enix...as you know, and even stronger...all though mistwalker is hurting them a bit,

THAT many??? WOW!!!! I' d be impressed if i liked any Final Fantasy game since FF8... They don' t have a lot of IP' s though. It' d be nice if they did something else, i think they need to because Mistwalker is going to out-do them in the RPG' s market. Probably!

That many? And people say bungie, but that is right?! Its all about taste, and also square-enix is a bout grand-epic games not a EA company who spit out games, however on the later year square-enix has now produced many low quailty game while keeping the AAA...

Nah Bungie don' t have the greastest IP' s. Anyone who says that is stupid! I see what you' re saying and it does all come down to personal taste, but for me to say a company has the greatest IP' s it needs a good variety of excellent games that really stand out in their respective genres. I' m a Capcom/Sega/Konami fan, i think those companie have the best range of IP' s there are. Like you said, it' s about personal taste.

Well if i had to say 2-3 i would have said rare and sega. People should know pdz/kameo went from gc-xbox then rushed to a xbox360 launch. So no,i dont think their golden age is over or is forever lost... And Sega is back in the buisness with games and being a publisher, heck they even publish Total war serie now.

PDZ is just overhyped. Kameo has superior textures, sound and gameplay. It' s a very short game and the end boss fight is terrible but it' s a better game than PDZ. I was sorely disappointed with PDZ, i expected much much more.

quez - blue dragon is not in anyway conected to either of chrono games. Square-Enix is indeed the holder of the entire RPG Genre.(I don' t care about Bioware and I' m not sure about Oblivion yet) :) Actually people say that PDZ isn' t a great game and that alone makes it a huge dissapointment (after massive hit like PD for N64).

Obviously, you' re right. PDZ is not a one of a kind game, it' s an emotionless egoshooter that isn' t complete and is full of failures. The characters are designed loveless, and because of that the game ist almost without an atmosphere.

It' s id Software VX, ...saying ID is saying ' eye dee' . Loads of people make that mistake. I believe it' s more that it started out as ID (eye-dee) but has progressed to id (as in Freud) over the years. At least, if the id website is anything to go by... http://www.idsoftware.com/business/ I think the whole thing is pretty much open to debate/interpretation, mebbe Romero wanted ID and Carmack plumped for id. :) To quote Harry Hill, " There' s only one way to settle this... FIIIIIIIGHT!" Anyhoo, IPs - If it were only a choice of one, it' d have to be Sega. Nintendo would have pegged it for me if they weren' t whoring out Mario so much these days, but then most of the best games I' ve played this generation are Nintendo' s. But to be fair Sonic is a bit sullied of late (sorry Adam, but sure you' ll agree). Shadow the Hedgehog made me physically ill upon just hearing about it, but Sonic Rush more than makes up for it. Capcom are definitely up there. Don' t agree on Bungie, the question was regarding IPs (plural), and they only have Halo that' s worth a damn. Oni was decent but flawed, and Myth... Nobody' s mentioned Ubisoft - they deserve a namecheck these days too - all the Tom Clancy stuff, PoP, BG&E, Kong - though they have lost some momentum in 2005. EDIT: Oh, and I' m forgetting Sony. They deserve more respect than they' re given on this front. Ape Escape, EyeToy, Gran Tourismo (love or hate it), Harmonix games (well, they' re Sony published, they might as well own the IPs), Ico and SotC... I could go on, but can' t think of any more good examples.

quez - blue dragon is not in anyway conected to either of chrono games. Square-Enix is indeed the holder of the entire RPG Genre. I know that, but its the same people behind BD as CT,and its basically a new CT in next generation,i doubt Square-enix dares to create a " Chrono" at the moment,or any time soon.
